DESCRIPTION:
The client’s core banking system was replaced by Infosys’ Core Banking product, Finacle along with Finacle - ODS product for two countries namely Uganda and Tanzania.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key resource in all phases of the project’s life cycle which involved implementation of multiple systems
Standard Bank (Client location) - Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania
- Responsible for in-country implementation (Go-Live) of the project in Tanzania
- Lone onsite resource from Operational Data Store (ODS) team and single handedly took care of all the activities
- Entire installation of ODS on DataStage 8.5 on environments like UAT, Production and Disaster Recovery
- Designed and developed complex ETL processes using DataStage Designer by loading data from databases, flat files or complex files to Data Warehouse databases
- Worked on processing stages including Transformer, Aggregator, Join, Merge, Lookup, Sort, Funnel, Remove Duplicate, Copy, Filter, Change Capture, Surrogate Key Generator, Slowly Changing Dimension, Checksum
- Implementing complex transformation rules according to business requirements
- Used the DataStage Director and its run-time engine to schedule/run/monitor parallel jobs and debugging
- Performed Unit Testing, SIT, UAT & resolved issues for multiple systems
- Instrumental in meetings/discussions with client, testing team & offshore team on a daily basis
Infosys Limited - Hyderabad, India
- Worked on complex data models and writing complex queries - Oracle and PL/SQL
- Creation of procedures and functions in PL/SQL
- Building Data models (Conceptual, Logical and Physical); creating entities, relationships, schemas, domains
- Requirements gathering, detailed design, development & analysis of jobs in DataStage

- Resolving issues/defects and maintaining the latest status of all in Quality Center tool

• PROJECT: Retrofitting activity (Oct 2011 - Dec 2011) - Hyderabad, India
ROLE: Developer
DESCRIPTION:
Migration and complete up gradation of DataStage 8.5 jobs to the latest version of Finacle ODS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Synchronized all existing jobs to the newer version of Finacle ODS which involved changing the cleansing methods and transformation rules
- Migration of all the developed jobs from DataStage 8.1 to 8.5
- Performed functional testing for the jobs

• PROJECT: SB v1.0 Change Request (Nov 2010 - Sep 2011) - Hyderabad, India
CLIENT: Standard Bank, Africa
ROLE: Developer
DESCRIPTION:
Replaced the client’s core banking system with Finacle along with Finacle - ODS for Namibia.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Requirements gathering, client interaction, discussions, understanding the business
- Building of documents like HLDs, LLDs, STTMs and UTPs
- Implementation of error handling concept; performed auditing of code using routines; self and peer reviews
- ETL jobs were developed and run using wrapper scripts (Shell scripting)
- Performed CIT for all the jobs
