Responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing electrical wiring, equipment, & fixtures. Working independently and going beyond my duties to assist colleagues, ensuring all work done is in accordance with Health & Safety regulations. Also regularly advising clients and senior managers verbally and in writing on hazardous equipment and essential work that needs completing.

As a fully qualified electrician my main duties are:
• Industrial and Commercial Containment Systems
• Wiring
• Steel wire and braided cable
• MOD ship building, maintenance and restoration
• Installation of Ex equipment in distilleries and fuel storage areas
• Installations and Commissioning of low voltage systems
• Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
• Inspections
• System safety testing
• Lighting and emergency lighting systems
• Electrical systems modifications and maintenance
• Fire and Gas Alarm systems
• 3 Phase electrical systems
• Sub Mains Switch Rooms
• Working to current Health & Safety regulations
• Risk assessment and Permit to work systems
• Providing end of work detailed reports

Key Skills and Competencies:
• Ability to methodically read and interpret wiring diagrams and floor plans
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels and willing to learn new skills
• Good practical problem-solving skills for diagnosing electrical faults
• Attention to detail whilst completing all tasks
• Flexible approach to work & willing to work 12 hour shifts, nights & weekends
