• Assure that the company’s deliverables, and those of the contractors and subcontractors, meet with the project’s specifications and relevant standards.
• Ensures compliance with engineering principles and standards. Document nonconformance to specifications, codes and standards, and participate in determining appropriate resolution.
• Oversees civil underground work for wet utilities and associated appurtenances.
• Review and analyze the technical aspects of different document submittals from the Contractor.
• Assist in the technical assurance during the construction and early operational phases; field supervision during the construction phase, as well as timely and cost effective delivery of the project and ongoing support to other Asset and Project needs.
• Prepare and update the Project Management Plan, Project Quality Plan for review and approval of the Project Manager.
• Executes other miscellaneous task and functions as
Engineering and QC Coordinator as directed by the Project Manager.
• Inspection of Formation level and bedding for Potable water, Treated Sewage Effluent, Electrical ducts, Storm water and Foul Sewer lines prior to installation of pipes.
• Inspection of pipe laying, placement of granular surround and witnessing of hydro test for pipelines.
• Inspection of jacking of RC pipes for Micro Tunneling for Storm Water Manholes.
• Inspection of Butt Fusion Welding for the connections of HDPE pipes and performs Deflection Test and Air Leak Test for pipelines.
• Check cutting, bending and installation of re-bars and shuttering against conformity to project drawings and project standards for the construction of Air Valve Chambers, Micro Tunneling Shafts and Storm Water Manholes.
• Witness testing, sampling and placement of concrete for concrete surround protection for GRP, UPVC, HDPE and VC pipes, chambers, manholes and concrete duct banks for electrical and telecom cables.
• Inspect materials as applicable to ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specification requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at storage and construction sites.
• Record all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
• Maintain quality inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as needed.
• Implement company’s quality systems and controls.
• Designated as Hand-over Coordinator. Prepared Punch lists and completed quality dossiers for final turn over to the client. Updating the Certification Traceability Matrix for easy retrieval of Quality Field Inspection Certificates.
• Participates in Mechanical Completion Walk-downs for different completed Sub-systems.
• Performs on process inspections for civil and structural activities, refractory and fire proofing of steel structures and equipment/vessels skirts.
• Performs As-built Survey inspections for equipment foundations.
• Conducts field density test on formation level for structural and equipment foundations and formation level, sand bedding and backfilling for underground pipes, cables and foundations.
• Check cutting, bending and installation of re-bars against conformity to project drawings and project standards.
• Witness concrete sampling and testing to ensure the quality of concrete supplied to the project.
• Prepares quality records for each activity as required.
• Perform inspection to ensure construction works is in compliance using good knowledge of project requirements, standards, procedures and specifications.
• Perform “Hold”, “Witness” and “Surveillance” inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities and construction sites to ensure compliance with project requirements and/or specifications.
• Inspect materials and equipment as applicable to ensure compliance with Tecnimont and Gasco requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at storage and construction sites.
• Inspect quality requirements for the material installations and tests to ensure compliance to project requirements.
• Record all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
• Write quality inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as needed.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Senior QC Engineer.
• Implement Saudi Aramco quality systems and standards.
• Performs on process inspections for civil, structural and architectural activities on site as per SAES, SAMSS, SATIP and SAIC.
• Conducts field density test on sub-grade for foundations, slab on grade and backfilling for underground pipes and foundations.
• Conducts concrete sampling and testing to ensure the quality of concrete supplied to the project.
• Performs inspections on installation of metal framing studs for gypsum board drywall and suspended ceiling framing system.
• Performs inspections on surface preparation and installation of marble, ceramic and resilient vinyl floor tiles.
• Performs inspections on surface preparation and application of liquid waterproofing membrane for concrete surfaces and conducts leak proof test.
• Prepares quality records for each activity as required.
• Prepared and completed quality dossiers for final turn over to the client.
• Monitor and perform quality activities in all stages of project.
• Perform inspection to ensure construction works is in compliance using good knowledge of project requirements, standards, procedures and specifications.
• Perform “Hold”, “Witness” and “Surveillance” inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities and construction sites to ensure compliance with project requirements and or specifications.
• Inspect materials and equipment as applicable to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at storage and construction sites.
• Inspect quality requirements for the material installations and tests to ensure compliance to project requirements.
• Record all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
• Write quality inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as needed.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the QC Supervisor.
• Coordinate civil work inspection requirement of the project with Balanga City Engineers Office Civil Representative.
• Arrange with independent testing laboratories conduct field density test on sub grade, material testing, received and keep record of test results.
• Check cutting, bending and installation of re-bars against conformity to project drawings, project requirements and standards.
• Check fabrication of forms, installation /erection whether it conforms to ACI and project requirements.
• Schedule concrete placement, check and witness, conduct of concrete slump test and production of concrete test cylinders.
• Record all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
• Prepare periodic inspection report and keep records.
