When I started with Coffee Planet, my role was to create the Events division within the business and to attain awareness of all events suitable for Coffee Planet in the UAE, Sourcing Suppliers, partake in exhibitions from built to breakdown and promote the brand as frequently as possible.

• Develop good working relationships with clients and suppliers
• Continually managing the P&L to ensure the department delivers within Budget
• Working with Project dept. to source/ design suitable layout for events
• Working with event organiser to ensure adequate power, water & drainage is available
• Working closely with stock control to ensure all equipment is available and delivered to required locations
• Managing the supply chain to dispatch food & beverage products to each outlet
• Ensuring all legal pre- approvals are in line with the local Emirates laws
• Maintaining a good working and cooperative relationship with the event organiser keeping them
regularly informed of built and progress.
• Managing all logistics involved pre & post event.

Having joined such an astound Brand name as part of the Emirates Group and MMI I was overwhelmed with the events we were able to part manage such as the first ever F1 in Abu Dhabi, The Dubai 7’s, FIFA World Club Cup, Dubai Marathon, Cartier Polo and many more international events.

• Meet client/ organisers to determine what their event requirements are.
• Source suppliers and necessary utilities/ equipment and production companies
• Manage budget forecast
• Arrange internal briefing with all relevant departments and start the event planning
• Arrange site meeting to create the customer journey, logistics and movement both front and back of house.
• Evaluate, hire and train all staff including international sourced management to work at the event.
• Manage all onsite logistics, office, schedules and deliveries as main contact person
• Ensure all onsite team/ staffs follow the Health and safety laws according to the UAE standard
• Manage the distribution of all cash requirements and date capture documentation.
• Maintaining a good working and cooperative relationship with the event organiser/ clients keeping them regularly informed of the progress
• Brief entire onsite team before opening of the event
• Manage good relationship with the UAE Officials and Food control authorities
• Manage all Cash return processes, product redistribution and overnight deliveries if required
• Debrief team managers and client / organisers post event
