1.Handling the Midfield Terminal -Abu Dhabi International Airport.

• Understand the application of the Health and Safety at Work, with legislation relevant to the Companies business.
• Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Director responsible for Health and Safety any relevant new legislation.
• Attend such courses/seminars run by external sources to enable accurate interpretation of legislation to enable implementation within the organization.
• Ensure that all “assessments” as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same.
• To recommend control measures and advise on the standard of P.P.E. issued to employees.
• Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports of all the company’s operations.
• Immediately contact the Director responsible for health and safety if situations are found, that in the opinion of the Safety Manager, require immediate rectification or the stopping of any operation.
• To notify the Director responsible for health and safety if the corrective action agreed after any workplace inspection is not implemented by the arranged date.
• To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.
• Advise the Company Secretary of all incidents reportable under R.I.D.D.O.R.
• To arrange Health surveillance as instructed.
• To highlight areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance.
• To bring new techniques for improving health, safety and welfare to the attention of the Director responsible for health and safety.
• To set a personal example by wearing appropriate personal protective clothing/equipment and observing all safety requirements/procedures.

•Maintains a working knowledge of Company specific HSE standards, programs and goals by learning and applying HSE procedures as established by the Company on a project site or in an office through departmental training.
•Ensures project site adheres to company and regulatory HSE standards and guidelines
•Conducts onsite risk assessment and mitigation.
•Studies design reviews, calculations and models including, as examples, hydrology calculations and dispersion models using standard techniques and guidelines in order to address possible HSE impact
• Promotes and fosters HSE standards and goals with programs throughout the Company and/or project to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
•Administers a specific function like maintaining HSE-specific project files on testing for substance abuse, collecting environmental or health samples, or providing personal protective equipment to project personnel
• Creates, administers and monitors HSE programs involving all levels of employees on the project or in the office through presentations, printed materials, and activities
•Monitors HSE programs by creating summaries/reports/presentations for HSE management and makes recommendations based on interpretations
•Supports preparation of HSE sections in the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and the Project Procedures Manual (PPM) for a project
•Provides input for HSE permit preparation on projects by maintaining knowledge of current guidelines and regulations
•Provides support in the development of HSE project plans and development of HSE specifications
•Conducts surveys, audits, evaluations, inspections, and investigations of incidents and activities to monitor and track HSE standards, programs and goals including project environmental data collection and documentation
• Prepares and maintains reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements, including monitoring application of HSE standards and goals

• Manage, apply and ensure adherence to Project policies, procedures and the specific Interface Documentation.
• Ensure that site (facilities) inspections and risk / impacts assessments are carried out on a regular basis for HSE issues and that remedial action is taken on any non-compliance, or improvement opportunity, by the relevant individuals.
Perform external audit of Project subcontractors and suppliers where required.
• Ensure that all incidents, accidents and near misses are reported immediately, and full technical investigation is performed, actions identified assigned and completed.
Compile formal reports for project activities and preventive safety measures, analyse information and effectively communicate findings.
Recommend activities and changes to; promote Best Practice, eliminate or reduce actual and potential losses.
• Perform duties at various Project Related locations where requested.
• Utilize good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across the team - internal, sub-contractors, and client where required.
Perform project level risk assessments and coach others to complete and update task risk assessments on a continual basis.
Participated in projects for the L and T ship yard and Minor Port and Mrf Tyres manufacturing plant structural works.
• Monitored workplace activities and ensured the safety of all employees; espoused the strict adherance to all company policies and government safety regulations.
