HR Planning
1. Planning for Future Balance by comparing the number of needed employees to the number of present employees who can be expected to stay with the organization, which leads to experienced and capable personnel.
2. Planning for recruiting/laying off employees.
3. Planning for the development of the employees to be sure the organization has a steady supply of experienced and capable personnel.
Selection & Staffing
1. Job descriptions, selection tools, mode of selection, background checks.
2. Designing Internal and external recruitment policies.
3. Establishing of appointment letter, offer letter and reference forms.
4. Development of Recruitment manual.
Personnel Management
1. Determining the compliance issues - wages and hours of work, leaves of absence including maternity leaves, harassment, and others.
2. Developing the policies and procedures manual- cover everything from establishing the company as an at-will employer to benefits.
3. Documentation of Employee files- such as application for Employment form resume, insurance forms and performance appraisals.
4. Recordkeeping - HRIS, confidential records, other forms to be maintained.
5. Formulation of Employee handbook in compliance with state regulations and that the policies written are in the best interests of the company.
6. Vitalizing basic policies are in place. These can be thought of as grouped into conditions of employment, benefits, and disciplinary processes.
7. Ensure all the required postings, forms, and documentation required by the respective governmental agencies
Personnel Research Information Systems
1. Communicating Information function- Changes in policies, changes in benefits, even changes in laws must be communicated to all employees.
2. Employee communications - handbook, newsletter, recognition programs, announcements.
3. Internal communications -policies and procedures, management development, management reporting.
Compensation & Benefits
1. Designing Compensation - methods & consistency.
2. Planning Mandated benefits, Implementation of Hays Methodology compensation, .
3. Designing optional group benefits i.e. insurance, time off benefits, flexible benefits, retirement plans, employee assistance programs, perks.
4. Assessing & Maintaining Payroll (internal vs. external options, compliance).
Employee Relations & Assistance
1. Employee relations - labor agreements, disciplinary procedures, employee recognition, provide personal problem solving, counseling to individual employees.
2. Labor relations- ensuring healthy & diplomatic organization relationships.
3. Safety and health of employee
Training & Development
1. Induction, training, staff development, career planning, succession planning, sabbaticals.
2. Designing the template for training calendar, training modules and proposals.
Performance Management
1. Maintaining Performance appraisal, performance evaluation, competency mapping.
2. KPI’s & KRA’s of each employee to be designed.
3. Designing templates for appraisal form, competency mapping form needs.
4. Keep a check on absenteeism, tardiness, turnover, poor quality, missed deliveries, and poor productivity.
Organization Development
1. Assuring healthy inter, intra-unit relationships and helping groups initiate and manage change.
2. Managing change during mergers, acquisitions, recession.
