Public relations (PR) is the practice of managing the flow of information between an organization and it helps its publics adapt mutually to each other. Public relations is used to enhance a company’s reputation.

The essential functions of public relations include research, planning, communications, dialogue and evaluation.

I therefore intend to do the following in the public relations department.

1. Provide a service for the company by helping to give the public and the media a better understanding of how the company works and help the company to achieve its full potential, feedback to the company from the public.
2. Assist customers if they have any problems with the company regarding what areas they are unhappy with.
3. Getting the company’s name out as a positive company and helping to develop a market presence and also help the company determine what it wants to present.
4. Will be able to develop and build relationships and to act as a public face of the company and branding as well. Present the company to the best light.
5. Responsible for overseeing external communications at companies, non-profits, government entities, and other organizations to ensure a positive public image to the local community and others.
6. Release information to counter negative publicity and handle crisis and emergency communications, protecting a consistent image of the company to the public in a way that is consistent with the desires of the company.
7. Deal with sensitive and confidential issues and have the ultimate responsibility for the public relations function within the company.
8. Developing advertising and marketing communications material, advise top company leaders about the best ways to promote the company.
9. Take charge of overseeing how the company is viewed by customers or the media, also help the company control its publicity both generating positive and managing negative publicity to help the company grow immesively and maintain good customer relationships.
10. Very adept at multitasking and time management and also cope very well under pressure situations and have abilities to cope with a barrage of questions from the media and the public.
11. Responsible for outreach and serve as a liaison at special events, help plan those events produce print and broadcast advertisements and developing public relations campaigns.
12. Creating meetings to plan the most effective publicity campaigns and the purpose of these communications in this case would be to make consumers aware of actions the company is taking for their safety so that consumers will feel confident about purchasing the products again.
13. Travel locally, nationally or internationally to meet with clients or to get a better understanding of the problems they need to be addressed and into consideration.
14. I have the ability and capacity to accept responsibility and work as part of a team, an ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and large amounts of stress, the flexibility to respond to changing priorities and being a strong decision maker.
15. Creativity, good problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to think strategically, maintaining confidentiality on office information. Initiate and develop appropriate communications / public relations strategies, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
16. Ability to identify, obtain and analyze information from variety of sources, ability to design a fitting work plan that goes with a modern office and excellent understanding of Administration and Office Management.
17. Take accountability for overall achievement of performance objectives, build and develop a high performing team and perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
