I was the
became confident with the management of medical emergencies. I also had frequent experience in
acting as member of the cardiac arrest team, and performing supervised outpatient surgical procedures
like stitching and polytraumatized patient.
The follow-up was for 6 weeks, and we evaluatedthe clinical and
radiographic signs of complications.
Results: Fifty-seven patients (34.5%) had transient dysphagia and two patients (1.2%) each had a
dural tear, surgical-site infection, and postoperative hematoma. One patient (0.6%) each had an
fracture range of motion of elbow joint and complications rate. Com-paring our results to the
published series in the literatures.

after zagazig university hospital. As Al Sharkiea government rich in antiquities, it puts a national
responsibility on its members as it deals frequently with international visitors to Cairo, and it is
known to have a good reputation among private hospitals in Cairo and Egypt. The orthopaedic
department is locally renowned, particularly for trauma, arthroscopy and pediatric orthopaedic
surgery.
The department of orthopedic is one of the biggest departments in the hospital.
It is equipped with:
-2 C-ARM image intensifier.
- Arthroscopy unit.
-Spine surgery unit.
I have 4 days per week list of operations. Include trauma and different orthopedic disease cases and
2 day group discussion and case presentation. I was the principal doctor involved in assessing and
reporting the case. I encountered a broad range of orthopedic conditions and became confident with
my diagnosis and results.

and works in team:
• Prof. Dr. Ezzat Kamel, professor of orthopedic, Ain Shams University Arthroscopy Unit.
• Prof. Dr. Mohammed El Mahy, professor of orthopedic, Ain Shams University Hand Surgery Unit.
• Prof. Dr. Hassan El Zaher, professor of orthopedic Cairo University. Arthroplasty unit.
• Prof. Dr. Hany Hefny, professor of orthopedic Ain Shams University. Pediatric and Deformity Unit.
We rotated every 3 months to each unit, Each unit have 2 list of operation -week. One day group

Newly developed hospital located in the Cairo-Ismailia Desert Road, Cairo- Egypt, is one of the largest
tertiary health care hospitals in the Middle East. A highly specialized hospital provides 122 beds. Have
well equipped trauma center where we can deal with different types of poly trauma.
In the trauma center we deal with patient and after well resuscitation we operated most of patient within
first 24 hours thus decrease hospital admission and hospital acquired infection. In orthopedic department

I feel that six months rotation at zigzag university hospital gave me an excellent grounding in general
medicine. In particular the emergency room and on call duties were very demanding. When on call I
was the principal doctor involved in assessing and initiating treatment of acute medical admissions with
