 Full credit control function for a book value of +R70million made up of 500 active account customers and 1500 C.O.Ds.
 Key accounts management i.e. Tiger Brands, Premier foods, National Brands, Pioneer foods, Foodcorp, Shell & SAB Miller.
 Credit Management risk (monitor payment behavior of customers and propose credit limit changes).
 Management of all accounts over 120days plus.
 Conduct local and international credit vetting /trade reference checks on all customers seeking to open new accounts, review credit terms/limits as and when required.
 Processing of credit applications and opening of new accounts. Submission of new credit applications online with Experian Kredit info reports, Credit Guarantee (CGIC) and Coface for credit assessment/ Declarations and making sure credit limits are adhered to as per insured value.
 Daily telephonic /electronic collections, order releasing or place on hold and recording of such on the system. Emailing, fax or hand deliver copy invoices, PODs /statement and reconciliation statements on excel where required.
 Proactive and effective cash collection from local and foreign customers thereby minimizing bad & old debt.
 100% success rate with customers l have recommended for credit.
 Predictive modeling i.e. cash forecasting, credit risk, fraud detection by developing and maintaining early detection and prevention tools. Early detection of customers closing their business.
 Insolvency procedures and compiling documentation for legal action. Liaise with attorneys on outstanding legal matters.
 Handle customer queries and driving solutions i.e. (price, delivery issues). Preparation of credit and debit notes on time.
 Manage customer ledger, no unexplained aged credit, unmatched or outstanding balances older than 45days, clearing small balances of forex differences, bank charges deducted and refund duplicate payments.
 Identify and receipting payments daily from bank statement and allocating accordingly. Assisting with identifying unallocated payments on bank reconciliation, cleaning up of accounts.
 Designing and maintaining effective credit control policy models in the consumer environment.
 Continuously look for process improvements to drive customer satisfaction and raise service efficiency.
 Identify opportunities to expand customer base with credit worthy and potentially profitable existing customers.
 Building relationships with key accounts i.e. (accounts payables, account managers, credit risk managers, Finance Managers) and internally (customer service teams, Sales team & warehouse).
 Credit Control staff supervision at the branches and company induction for non-credit control staff.
