1. Job Summary: To educate, motivate and treat patients to achieve and maintain a high standard of
Dental health.
To provide clinical oral hygiene service for eligible population
To treat patient according to clinicians prescription in an un supervised role
To educate eligible population in order that they may maintain an acceptable standards of Oral Hygiene
Duties and responsibility: • Scaling and polishing of teeth
• The removal of plaque and calculus deposits from the supra and sub
-gingival surfaces of teeth.
* The polishing of restoration (filling)
* Preventive measure for dental caries.
* Dental Health education
* The application of materials in order to reduce the risk of tooth decay i.e. floured Gels and solution and fissure sealing.
* To teach the value of dental health and the measures individuals can take to reduce the risk of developing tooth decay and periodontal disease: a. Oral hygiene instruction.
b. Dietary advice.
c. Use of fluoride.
Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within my realm knowledge, skills and abilities and within the hospital and affiliated medical Facilities.
* Impression Taking.
* Taking X-Ray.
* Active Member of Infection Control Team Supervision.
Duties and responsibilities: * Supervising and overseeing all dental Assistant, dental Hygienist, clinic receptionist and medical secretary.
* Organizing duty rosters for dental Assistants.
* Responsible for materials and consumables used whiten the department and ensuring adequate stocks available
* Responsible for the highest standers in cleanliness and sterility within
The department.
* Administrative duties include Departmental statistics, stock taking and inventory, querying all outstanding purchase requisition or purchase order
* composing monthly on call schedules for doctors.
* Liaising with the various departments and wards with regard to In-patients and Out -patients.
The dental Department at al-hada hospital consisted of 17 Dental Clinics .I worked
In close relation to all the General Dental Practitioners as well as the Periodontologist, Implntologist, Orthodontist, Maxillo-Facial surgeon, Pedodentist and Endodontist
Working as an oral hygienist in this hospital environment, I have also treated various medically compromised patient such as Cardiac, Nephrology, Orthopedic, Diabetic, etc
