The position is responsible to ensure the implementation of the SMS throughout the
organization by complying to GACAR Part 5 Safety Management System (SMS) requirements and its related regulations and standards and carry out the required activities for achieving the desired level of the system implementation and monitor its performance thereafter.
The position functions around the four (4) pillars of SMS but heavily focused to establish and maintain the Risk Register and Hazards Log including the conduct of risk assessments and root cause analysis using Bow Tie technique of all aerodrome occurrences and hazards. It also assists Post Holders in developing strategies to reduce incidents, monitor its action plans and review for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide guidance to RAC employees on matters related to the SMS.
2. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the processes needed to support the SMS as contemplated by GACAR Part 5.
3. Support the deployment of the SMS Implementation plan.
4. Identify resources needed for effective implementation of the SMS, focusing on those
activities required for the identification of hazards and assessment of risks.
5. Spearhead in the hazard identification and safety risk analysis on all reported aerodrome occurrences and hazards.
6. Develop and maintain the Risk Register.
7. Coordinate in accident and incident investigations to obtain relevant feedback for the
assessment of a specific occurrence.
8. Participate in the review of the performance of the RAC SMS to identify priority areas for improvement.
9. Provide support as the primary resource in all of safety promotion-specific processes.
10. Conduct internal and external oversight audits.
11. Ensure procedures and systems are developed in accordance with RAC SMS and that continued review and development takes place.
12. Promote Safety Culture through constant coordination with airport stakeholders.
13. Ensure that operational risk assessments for airfield operations are kept up to date and reviewed in accordance with company procedures.
14. Support the definition of targets for airport operations SPIs, considering the events occurred during the year.
15. Participate in aerodrome field inspections.

QHSE Specialist at Saudi Airlines Cargo Company (SACC)

The position serves as one of the focal point in the implementation and maintenance of Saudia Cargo’s quality, health and safety, security and environment (QHSSE) programs. It requires participation in all of Saudia Airlines’ QHSSE committees and promptly addresses all issues raised against Cargo operations. It needs a lot of travelling inside and outside of the Kingdom for audits and inspections as wells as promoting QHSSE awareness to all interested parties of the company.
The position requires excellent knowledge in the QHSSE field in order to develop specific manuals, policies and procedures, and in-house training materials. It needs exceptional analytical skills to investigate accidents, conduct audits and interpret data to be presented to the executive management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Resource person of SACC’s HSSE activities.
2. Develop and maintain all documentation required for safety especially related to IOSA,
Safety Risk Assessment and other airlines safety related manuals.
3. Ensure that all company facilities (HQ, Stations and Ramp) In-Kingdom and Out-ofKingdom conform to all safety mandates by clients, international standards and the Saudi Arabian government.
4. Attend and participate on regular technical safety consultative meeting with Saudi Arabian Airlines and Foreign Airlines, i.e. Safety Central Committee (SCC), Safety Assessment of Foreign Airlines (SAFA), Crisis Management Committee (CMC) and SMS Implementation Committee (SIC).5. Attend and participate on regular technical consultative meeting with Risk Management department to discuss and find solutions to all internal and external safety issues of the Company.
6. Address all safety issues/concerns against SACC as raised by the safety committees.
7. Develop and maintain training modules for all in-house safety programs.
8. Act as facilitator for occupational safety in-house trainings.
9. Perform safety promotional campaign thru bulletins, circulars, emails and in company’s
printed materials.

19. Integrate the (IOSA) SARPs into the safety management system in Cargo.
20. Spearhead in the overall awareness of safety through proper trainings and seminars to all staff level.
21. Perform safety/IOSA audits and inspections to all SACC facilities in the Kingdom and on GHAs/GSAs of international stations based on approved SLA.
22. Perform accident/incident investigation.
23. Conduct QMS audits to all In-Kingdom stations.
24. Coordinate with audited stations for the closure of their respective HSSE and QMS
audit findings.
25. Coordinate with all station safety representatives for on-time submission of HSSE
reports.
26. Analyze reports and perform trending analysis and statistics for incidents/accidents and other unsafe occurrences.

Head (A) - Safety and Security at Saudia Catering Company

The position requires participation in all of Saudia Airlines’ safety and security committees and promptly addresses all issues raised against airlines catering operations. It
needs a lot of travelling inside and outside of the Kingdom for audits and inspections as well as promoting safety and security awareness to all interested parties of the company.
The position spearhead in the development and maintenance of safety and security manuals,
policies and procedures, and in-house training materials. It needs exceptional analytical skills
to investigate accidents, conduct audits and interpret data to be presented to the executive
management. All Saudia Catering production Units in KSA was first certified with OHSAS 18001 in the early part of 2010 in a very small budget.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the General Manager of Internal Control and Performance Improvement department in all aspects of his job related to safety and security.
2. Develop and maintain all documentation required for safety and security including but
not limited to staff accommodation, food manufacturing, and airlines related manuals.
