Staff Nurse

Performs tasks of admitting, transferring and discharging patients.
Ensures patient’s room is clean; bed is tidy, equipment ready for use before patient’s admission.
Assess and reassess patient’s condition, abilities to serve personal needs priorities of nursing care needed. Document it in the Assessment Sheet.
Set-up nursing plans to every patient to serve his health condition and needs.
Provide comprehensive nursing care as required and evaluate results.
Observe and implement all administrative and nursing service, policies and procedures.
Supervise distribution of meals and make sure to provide patients with correct trays and collect it in time.
Assist physicians during patient’s examination, specimen collection and in treatment.
Cooperate with head nurse in daily assignments solving work problems and responding as needed in emergencies.
Record vital signs taken for patients and notify responsible person of any abnormal findings.
Ensure patient’s comfort, safety, privacy and satisfaction of services performed.
Prepare patient for all examinations, any operation or other requirements.
Adhere to infection control policies measures and procedures.
Prepare medication trolley daily to give medicine to patients as prescribed and to coordinate treatment services as needed.
Give in writing detailed report on patient at the end of the shift.
Assist in orienting and instructing new nursing staff on nursing functions, procedures, services, safety measures and professional discipline.
Evaluate performance of nursing staff under her/his supervision and determine training requirements.
To use machines, tools, and equipment in accordance to instructions given and supplies in an economical and efficient manner.
Coordinate work with other staff members in hospital as needed and demonstrate skills in solving problems with other departments.
