Manage Blackboard Learn Infrastructure over windows and MS SQL database.
Install, maintain Blackboard Learn and ensure the stability and performance of the system.
Integrate (plan, test, and implement) new technologies, including Blackboard Learn updates and third-party products and building blocks through the development of test cases and benchmarks to ensure proper functionality.
Perform documenting system and Blackboard system customized reporting usage (user activities, course content, Course activities, logins …..) from Blackboard database.
Installing and upgrading the database software and application tools.
Perform database maintenance (reorgs, collect stats), optimization, performance tuning, Setup database backup and Recover database when necessary.
Monitor system usage and generates reports for institutional assessment and data-driven decision-making.
Provide knowledge transfer of Blackboard Learn skills to instill redundant and future support.
Investigate new technologies and software as part of the process of recommending improvements to various systems and applications.
Manage semester-to-semester migration and system clean-up following the recommendations of the Blackboard team or instructor requests.
Perform Virtual classroom system (Blackboard Collaborate) administration responsibilities including installation, configuration, archiving, troubleshooting and documenting system.
Performing backups.
Troubleshooting any reported problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Installing, Configuring and managing the following Windows 2003 Servers:
• Active Directory Server (DC)
• Domain Name Service Server (DNS)
• Internet Security & Acceleration (ISA) Server
• Microsoft Standard query language (MS SQL) Server
• Kaspersky Antivirus Server with Administration Kit
Troubleshoot all IT issues, including:
• Hardware such as Desktop, Laptop, Printers, Scanners problems and Managing 3COM switches.
• Software such as MS Outlook, MS word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, Internet explorer and other applications that users need.
Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone, E-mail or in person.
