The USAID provides financial support to Jordanian companies after studying the historical financial position and provides financial consulting to manage the future working capital to prove the future success of these companies to deserve this financial support. The USAID appointed a financial advisor to carry out these historical and future studies, as the advisor performs the following tasks:
1.Gap Assessment report:
The report should be based on:
Reviewing historical financial recordkeeping and operational performance, recommending changes to cost accounting methods.
Refining revenue and expense data capture to include details relevant to advanced budgeting and/or customer and vendor/supplier management.
Reviewing existing capital structure and recommend changes.
Conducting operational efficiency analysis and assessments and provide recommendations of refined workflow measures to be adopted and deployed that would result in cost savings, optimized resource allocation, and/or enhancements to revenue streams.
Assess current state of, and provide recommendations for improvements in, financial management - more specifically, managerial accounting, working capital management, and cash flow optimization
Make recommendations and/or facilitate implementation of financial management software solutions if needed
Analysis of historical financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow.
Gathering of assumptions and forecasts. This will be done based on the trend analysis from the historical financials, market analysis and guidance from the company.
Building the financial model for the 3-year projections of the financial statements
The data collected should be analyzed and tabulated in excel format.
2.Preparation of a Financial Model:
Analysis of historical financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow. Gathering of assumptions and forecasts. This will be done based on the trend analysis from the historical financials, market analysis and guidance from the company.
Building the financial model for the 3-year projections of the financial statements
The data collected should be analyzed and tabulated in excel format.
3.Submission of Checklist:
The checklist should include operational efficiency exercise comprised in a set of questions targeting sales, operations, production, storage, pricing, purchases, etc. as applicable to the specific industry.
4. Submission of Inception report, Analysis report, financial statements, and Projections for SMEs and Startups eligible for USAID BGA assistance
Completion of feasibility studies for new investments.
Prepare the annual estimated budgets in cooperation with all sections of the company
Negotiations with banks to obtain the best facilities needed by investments or to continue to practice operations in companies.
Financial analysis of revenues, costs and expenses.
Make periodic monthly comparisons of costs and revenues with the budget and provide solutions to the senior management of areas of weakness or strong achievement.
Follow-up daily and monthly cash flow lists and find out the needs of the establishment of liquidity, whether using banking facilities to finance operations or reducing daily and monthly spending.
Supervising the process of internal financial and administrative audit as well as supervising external audit and its completion on time in accordance with the laws of the state or the company's policies
Completion of the restructuring of the capital of the companies that need and accomplished in cooperation with the legal advisor and external auditor of the company to become the companies in accordance with the laws of the state and international accounting standards
Follow-up and review of sales tax according to the appropriate time of laws to submit lists to the income tax department and pay dues to them either in cash or installments according to the laws
Responsible for monitoring stock levels and performing inventory reconciliations.
Negotiate with suppliers to pay their dues and to ensure the supply of goods to the company.
Follow-up the achievements of employees in the financial department and work on rewarding them financially or Providing them with training courses.
Three Projects in Jordan with a backlog of $ 110 M.
Responsible for the overall functions of the finance/accounting department including financial reporting and control, Cash flow management, Banks and project finance.
Assist in develop and implement accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of operating data and special reports as required including interim and year-end financial statements.
Management, development and motivation of the Accounts and Finance personnel.
Manages the reporting of management accounts including managing the month end closing and present financial information to senior management.
Compares performance with operating plans and standards, and reports and interprets the results of operations to all levels of management.
Establishes, coordinates and administers as an integral part of management, an adequate plan for the control of operations including, profit planning and financing, Revenue forecasts, expense budgets and cost standards, together with necessary controls and procedures to effectuate the plan.
Ensures compliance with all accounting and financial policies, procedures, and Tax laws.
Coordinate year end audits and serves as a liaison between the company and legal counsel. .
Assures protection for the assets of the business through internal control, and assuring proper insurance coverage.
Maintains vendor and customer relations

In charge of general accounting department which includes five accountants.
Expenses control and analysis for more than 60 branches in 10 main areas.
Supervision HR department in prepare payroll for more than 1000 employees.
Control of accruals, prepaid, medical insurance, general insurance
To manage monthly closing procedures to meet management deadline requirements.
Managing customers accounts, Maintain credit applications establish credit limits quarterly confirmations and preparing provision of bad debts
To prepare financial reports (consolidate income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
Prepare and present monthly and annual financial Budget and Planning.
Provided the department heads with their monthly critical financial reports and analysis vs. budget.
Creation of financial reports in JDE System with cooperation of IT Dep. to optimize the use of JDE system.
To provide full support to internal &external auditors during quarterly audit and end of year audit.
To prepare and follow up with suppliers, sister company, and head quarter of group in regard to reconciliation and confirmations month wise
Primary responsibilities include:

Document preparation for purchases
development of period end managerial reports and procedures
preparation of period end segmented financial reports
responsible for accounts payable
Preparing quarterly financial packages, year end audit packages and audited financial and cost statements.
Reconciling bank accounts
Dealing with auditors
Accounting for complex agreements, including invoice calculations, analysis, reporting, issue and audit management.
Cost and financial/statutory accounting as required to reflect business activity.
Monitoring and maintaining work processes to ensure internal controls and data integrity.

Reconciles the portfolio to custodial reports and internal records
Prepares monthly reports that are distributed to senior client management
Reviews corporate actions and verifies cash movements to custodial records
Accounts Payable Review and release invoices
