My primary responsibility is to be a business development specialist for Juniper Networks solutions in the Data Center. I am part of a 5 member EMEA based senior consulting virtual team that provides specialist market and technical resource support for strategic Data Center sales opportunities. Some of my key responsibilities include making strategic business value-based presentations to CxO-level management and key influencers for strategic Juniper Networks customers in the EMEA region and drive Juniper Networks technical leadership and innovative networking solutions in large Data Center opportunities by acting as the project lead. Juniper Networks Data Center products and solutions that I am responsible for include the QFabric, QFX/EX enterprise switches, Virtual Gateway (vGW), Junos and Junos Space, MX routers and SRX security appliances. Job duties also include responding to RFI/RFPs, designing Data Center solutions for customers and Juniper Networks partners, Data Center training/workshops for Juniper Networks consultants and partners, build close customer relationships and provide customer support and project management services as needed.
Responsible for managing the BRS (Backup Recovery Systems) Pre-Sales Technology Consultant team for the EMEA South (TEAM) region. The BRS Pre-Sales team for TEAM region currently consists of seven Senior Technology Consultants. My mission is to provide technical and business consultative leadership for the BRS practice at the pre and post sales level. I also provide input into the development of standard practices, procedures and strategies related to the BRS practice in my region. In addition to my team management duties, I am also responsible for providing Backup and Recovery pre-sales consulting and support for the EMC Middle East and Pakistan region at large and U.A.E. in particular. EMC BRS products and solutions that I am responsible for include Backup to Disk with De-Duplication, Disaster Recovery, NetWorker, Avamar, Data Domain, Disk Library, Homebase and Data Protection Advisor. Job duties also include EMC BRS product and solution presentations, responding to RFI/RFPs, designing BRS solutions for customers and EMC partners, BRS training for EMC consultants and partners, build close customer relationships and provide customer support and project management services as needed.
Responsible for providing pre-sales technical support, pre-sales account management and overall primary technical point of contact for Chevron, Halliburton and ExxonMobil major accounts within the HDS Central Strategic Customer Sales District. Also responsible for working closely with the Global Account Manager for these accounts and other HDS resources with the goal of aligning HDS solutions with customer business strategies. Job duties include HDS product presentations, responding to customer RFI/RFPs, positioning HDS solutions that solve customer storage and business issues, provide overall coordination of technical resources and solution design, build close customer relationships and provide customer support and project management services as needed.
Responsible for working with the Avamar sales organization and channel partners in providing pre and post sales technical support, technical training and Axion software installation services. Job duties include technical product presentations, writing proposals, creating custom documentation for clients, assessment and design of client solutions, installing pilot installations of Avamar products and assisting customers with technical issues concerning Avamar products.
Responsible for the planning, delivery and coordination of specific customer projects, project leadership, client training, technical certification, product research and Pre/Post-Sale technical support for product sales. Projects worked on include, SAN attached Storage and Backup projects, SAN implementations using Brocade and McData switches, Sun Enterprise Servers setup and tuning, VERITAS NetBackup and Cluster Server implementation, EMC and Clariion Storage, Sun Storage, Sun Jumpstart implementation, Apache to Netscape Web Server Migration, Solaris and Unix Systems Administration, NAS/NFS/CIFS Server implementations, HP OmniBack II implementation and NetIQ AppManager implementation.
Responsible for architecting the Inacom Server and Network Systems infrastructure. Also responsible for Project Management on various projects. Some projects completed include, E-Commerce projects (InaCommerce, VITAL, OMP and GRIN), Firewall Design, Internet Infrastructure Re-Design, VPN Project, Proxy Server with URL Screening, NT Monitoring, NT Network infrastructure design, Clarify Help Desk System Internet Phase and Lotus Notes infrastructure design.
Responsible for the Operations of UNIX Servers (Solaris and Linux), Database Systems, Internet Connectivity & Security and Firewall System. Also responsible for the Operations of entire PC LAN/WAN infrastructure. Manage the staff of the PC LAN department, which included a Help Desk, Diskette Tech Support, Hardware support and LAN Administrators.
Responsible for managing the computer network at the College of Business Administration, UNL. This included all Servers (NT, Netware and UNIX), Network devices (network cards, routers, hubs, etc.), Network cable, Web Servers, MS SQL server, MS SNA server, MS Mail server and Internet connectivity. Train staff in Internet tools, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and other desktop applications.
