As a Manager for Design, I amleading a team of System engineers to produce material submittals, shop drawings, technical documentation, RFPs and coordination with construction team for execution, testing and commissioning for Abraj Kudai Project (AKP). The ELV package consisted of 13 different system including safety and security systems, Networking Systems (active and passive) and Auxiliary Systems (Nurse call, Parking System, Audio Visual, Master Clock and IPTV)
In addition to AKP, I am assigned on Design and Build project of ELV systems for King Abdul-Aziz Road project involving Roads, Metro, Tunnels, Underpasses and Facilities (Car Parks, Utilities).
Techno Q is a leading integrator in Qatar for electronic systems. My responsibilities in design department were of a senior role mainly for security and safety systems:
• Prepare shop drawings for awarded projects in security, safety and AV systems
• Prepare quotations for security and safety systems
• Review of quotations prepared by junior engineers
• Follow-up for approvals and compliance with local regulations with Qatari MOI Security and Safety department
• Training Junior staff for important topics
My responsibilities in TechnoQ as project engineer incorporated:
• Responsible for the timely and efficient execution of the assigned projects up to the company high standards
• Coordinate with clients and other involved parties
• Report to Management weekly progress, milestones, invoicing and site delays
• Plan and manage resources (materials, manpower, tools, etc...)
• Prepare testing, commissioning and Handing over documents
• Special assignments as Senior Projects Coordinator supervising procurement, all Techno Q projects resources (Sub‐contractors, Manpower, local purchases, materials deliveries), project scheduling as well as monitoring the project filing and handling all Techno Q correspondences.
Being a small company with about 30 employees, Beydoun managed to establish an offshore branch serving GCC, Africa and Levant. As a mechanical engineer, I have been challenged to start my career in the fire fighting, fire suppression and fire alarm systems:
• Engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of fire systems
• Assisting in sales activities and follow-up with clients to secure projects
• Project approvals and handing over to client or its representative
• Maintenance of installed systems and re-filling of fire suppression agents in a UL compliant filling station.
• Reporting to higher management department activities
Master 2 Degree in Automation and Production obtained in July 2006. Obtained recognition from Masters training supervisor for hard work and quick learning.
5 Year studying period, garduated with a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering. Always ranked within top 5 out of 38. Excellence in the End Year Project.
