Implement the policies for the use of the computer system and network
Planning upgrades, Operating and maintaining the company's servers
User administration (setup and maintaining account)
Monitor network communication
Create a backup and recovery policy
Rectify all Systems identified problems during the day to ensure that the organisation keeps 99.9% up time.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities within the intent and scope of the job as directed
by the Project Manager
Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, servers, etc.
Coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment and troubleshooting problems with various department users.
Provide comprehensive end-user technical support including the following:
• Configuring hardware
• Performing hardware/software installations
• Troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day system problems for end-users.
Troubleshoot and resolve network, equipment and configuration problems.
Overseeing the firm’s e-mail and internet communications strategy
Monitor Network performance; Perform maintenance tasks on network switches and routers.
Maintain Active Directory Services and Windows file systems
Manage LAN security and network performance
Terminate straight and twisted network cables
Assist in the design and implementation of college portals
Monitor and co-ordinate the activities of clients and other authorized users of the portal
Collate and submit comprehensive reports on the use of the portal
Plan and co-ordinate training on the use of the portal
Perform other related duties that is assigned by my immediate superior from time to time
