Project : King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services
(MYP) Project.
Client : International Maritime Industries/ ARAMCO

The King Salman International Complex for Maritime Industries and Services project is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the growth of the maritime industry in Gulf region. The King Salman International Complex will be a world class facility, providing a combination of offshore fabrication, ship building and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services including Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) capabilities and offshore fabrication. Project is to plan, design, construct, and commission the infrastructure required to support the development of a Maritime Yard at Ras Al-Khair Industrial City The approximate area of the overall site is 4, 500 m by 2, 500 m. As a QA Manager my duty is to managing and control the total QA activities of the project. Preparing and reviewing PQP, Management procedures, Quality reports, Audit Reports, PQI, etc. Implementing project quality Management system, project quality objectives and Quality policies. Attending Client meetings, Internal as well as vendor meetings and highlighting QA requirements. Conducting Management Review Meeting, Audit on various department, Quality Training, document Nonconformance and its follow-ups, supporting corrective actions. Review and approval of vendor documents, Inspection Assign packages, pre-qualification documents, ITP, Procedure etc.

Project : Basra Gas Development project
Client : Basra Gas Company.

Project scope encompass the Engineering and Procurement Services (EPS) and in-country delivery support across various facilities. The EPS scope of work will provide the engineering and procurement for the rehabilitation and rejuvenation of various running and non-running BGC assets. The out-of-country services (UAE based) required are in support of BGCs NGL and LPG production facilities across its assets at North/South Rumaila, Khor Al Zubair and Umm Qasr. AS a Senior QA/QC Advisor my duty are managing and controlling the quality requirements of various discipline in the project. Attending project kick off meetings, vendor meetings, pre-inspection meeting, internal meetings etc. to provide quality support and advice. Implementing project quality management system, Objectives and Policies. Promote the awareness of quality principles, concepts and methods to enhance performance. Review and approval of Material requisition, Vendor documents, TBE, Specifications, Work packs, ITP, procedures etc. Execution of planned project, vendor and subcontractor and internal quality audits in accordance with the audit and review programme. Evaluate potential vendor’s quality capabilities prior to contract award. Coordinate with third part inspection agencies for vendor inspections and review inspection report and certificates.

Projects Involved:
1) Upper Zakum Offshore Island Civil, MEI & Hook-Up Works for Sub-Sea Pipelines, Cables, Offshore structures and Brown fieldworks (EPC-1) Project.

Project consist of the procurement and construction of Civil, MEI & Hook-Up Works for Sub-Sea Pipelines, Cables, piping, Offshore structures in 3 Offshore island’s (South island, North Island and Central Island) for the initial production of UZ750. As a QA/QC Manger duties included Managing and controlling the QA/QC team of various disciplines for the overall QA/QC activities of the project. Maintaining and management of all the QA/QC activities from Tendering, Procurement, and Construction till final Handing Over. Implementing QMS, Preparation / review of QA/QC related documents, conducting Audit on various department & Sub contractors, conducting Quality trainings, document all noncompliance and its follow-ups attending meeting with client, Sub Contractors & Vendors and discussing all quality related matters.

2) Engineering, Procurement & Construction of Fluorine Complex.

An EPC project for construction of Chemical plant for production of Aluminum fluoride, Hydrofluoric acid, Sulfuric Acid and calcium sulfate. As QA/QC Manager duties included all QA/QC activities from Tendering, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction till final Handing Over. Preparation / review of QA/QC related documents including Tender documents, PQP, ITPs, QCPs, WPS etc. Reviewing and highlighting QC requirements in Tender documents, Engineering documents, Subcontractor documents, material purchase requests etc. Implementing QMS, conducting Audit on various department & Sub contractors, conducting Quality trainings, Document all noncompliance and its follow-ups and supporting the corrective and Preventive actions.

3) QA and Training Manager in Corporate Office;
Duties included upgrading, implementing and monitoring QMS and other quality requirements in various projects. Conducting Audits, Quality trainings, attending executive meetings, recruiting QA/QC personals for various projects. Preparing QA/QC documents for tendering, Sub Contracting, Auditing and QMS of various projects. Involved in the Core committee meeting for reviewing and studying various Company’s technical standards and procedures implementation.

4) ICAD-II Gas Distribution Network for Zones Corporation Under ADNOC:
Project involved EPC of 48 Km pipeline for the distribution of GAS to various end users in Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICADII) It was an EPC project for Zones Corporation under the guidance of ADNOC. As a QA/QC Manger duties included maintaining and management of all the QA/QC activities from tendering stage till hand over of the project.

The purpose of the project is to increase the total crude export capacity and to improve operating reliability and flexibility. As a lead QA/QC Engineer duties involved managing and controlling the total QA/QC activity of the project.

As a Third party Inspector representing the Owner, duties included Procedure, ITPs, QCPs, WPS and other project specific QA documents review and approval.
