Field Monitor - Monitoring and Evaluation

• Support M&E Officer in creating a framework and procedures for the monitoring and evaluation of project activities.

• Support the M&E Officer in defining and implementing the key project performance indicators (KPI) as well as monitoring them throughout the duration of the projects.

• Assist the M&E Officer in proposing strategies to increase data use and demand among Program staff.

• Support project/program staff on ways to properly document, organize and capture program progress.

• Monitor the progress and performance of UNICEF cooperating and implementing partners, including governments sectors, MOE, MOH.

• Facilitating programs to meet the needs of Specific issues/difficulties with regard to the UNICEF Emergency program response in all sections (Education, Child Protection, WASH, Health and Nutrition) including the effectiveness of the approach from the view of the end-user.

• Monitoring and reporting on the unmet needs of women and children in the affected areas, in compliance with the program and facilitating their needs through the cooperation of partners and ministries.

• Key emerging issues from field monitoring, any social issues affecting children or young, girls and women in general and any other related issues in the field, including outbreaks, malnutrition etc.


• Regular field visits to UNICEF operational areas to undertake monitoring activities, and referrals.

• Preparing a monthly and weekly reports with heads of departments to analyzes and highlight major issues that need to be addressed on many levels, to insure the effectiveness of the project.


• Monitoring all projects with UNICEF partners in the refugee camps and in the host community for all of the following departments, Child Protection, Health, Education, and WASH.

• Using a Spot check delivery System to monitor project with partner to assess the urgent needs of the programs in order to fill in the gaps and insure that all projects are implement well.

• Assessing projects before partners sign PCA with UNICEF, assure partners meet standards.

• Working closely with various ministries, MOH, MOE, for campaigns assessments and partner programs.

• Attending monthly section meetings with all UNICEF departments, and UNICEF partners within the camp and host community.
