Strategic Tunneling Enhancement Program (STEP)
• Deep Sewer Tunnel :
It consists of 5 launching shafts and 5 access shafts and 25 km of total tunneling by 5 EPBs of dia. 6.35m.

• Responsibilities as Tunnel Field Engineer: Execution of all tunneling works with TBM. Checking and Updating the material stock and consumption. Coordinating with other departments (electric and mechanical). Preparation of look ahead schedules and daily reports. Preparing crack mapping in segments. Responsible for Grouting in Tunnel.
Responsible for implementation of safety in tunnels. Guiding TBM operator to drive within specified parameter. Responsible for Cutter head intervention.
Preparing daily weekly and monthly telemetry reports for issuing. Checking and ordering material, maintaining stock of all the tunnel consumables, for production and services. Checking the segments for defects in segment yard. Planning and assigning work to shift supervisors, assisting project management in executing decisions on site. Assisting the planning department with ready data from site and monitoring targets.
Checking the operation of CPL shutters, casting vault 5 m dia, with embedded geo-membrane, in line with the design parameters, of tolerances and clearances, keeping track of and handling material, ordering all the consumables for the permanent works, responsible for Safety and technical supervision.

Achievements: Hold the record for maximum production in a shift, in a day, in a week and in a month. Breaking all previous records of production.

Promoted to office as a Tunnel Engineer for over all co-ordination of the project.
Responsible for all the co-ordination work for planning for Corrosion protection concrete lining. For execution and material supply and planning.
Monitoring 3 sites from surface, and troubleshooting their query.

• Rohtang Pass Highway Tunnel Project:
It is an 8.8 Kms long worth Rs 1500 crore Highway Tunnel Project that connects Dhundi to Sissu bypassing Rohtang Pass. The Project is executed by NATM (New Austrian Tunneling Method, ) D&B.
• Responsibilities as Planning Engineer: Preparation of L1, L2, L3 & L4 baseline schedules in co-ordination with the project’s staff including timeframes, resources, equipments, submittals, cost loading and budgeting.
• Preparation of updated programmes and mitigation programmes.
• Incorporating FIDIC contract in the programme, and programming techniques as and when required.
• Conducting site visits on a regular basis and acquiring the necessary data required for projected progress and work scheduled completion.
• Performing weekly fortnightly and monthly updates to follow up the progress and implement preventive / corrective as and required.
• Analyze project resources and leveling according to availability and concentrated area.
• Responsible for recording and monitoring project costs including raising invoices, agreeing variations in scope of services and monitoring third party costs.
