Strategy Formulation
Support Director in establishing and then implement department policies, goals, objectives, and procedures as approved by the Director of Environmental Safety and Control.
Ensure new operations plans, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans for the department are consistent with the overall goals and objectives of the client, respective business unit and division.
Assist in establishing, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
Develop departmental business plans that are in line with Division/Business Unit/Client objectives as directed by the Director.
Budgeting and Control
Assist the Director in establishing and implementing the business plan, priorities and working objectives of the department and section in alignment with Executive Management’s vision as stated with the approved Annual Work Plan.
Actively participate and contribute to the department staffing and budget planning
Monitor costs and resources in day to day activities.
Support Director in establishing and then monitor department’s staffing and budgeting projections.
Operational Tasks
Be prepared to represent the department in executive management meetings as necessary.
Coordinate with other departments and Divisions in the implementation of the current and future Master Plan deliverables and initiatives.
Assist in establishing, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
Actively participate in relevant coordination meetings and provide direction in daily operations to all section and department staff to manage output and products in accordance with the department objectives.
Set and monitor the Client's environmental regulations and standards in line with the government’s environmental standards and best practices.
Monitor and take measurements for corrective action when appropriate for the following issues:
1.Meteorological and air quality measurements.
2.Production and disposal operations of industrial waste in the city.
3.Sampling and analysis of industrial wastewater / cooling water and groundwater.
4.Sampling and analysis of irrigation and drinking water.
5.Review and comment on stack testing and fugitive emission reports.
6.Wild and marine life preservation.
7.Coordinate / assist Director for the development of the detailed report for inclusion in the Unified Monthly report prepared by Management Dept.
Administer environmental control laboratories and undertake studies to determine the impact of industrial operations on the environment.
Review and assist the Department in preparing technical monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Direct or assist in establishing, measuring, and reporting the achievement of department goals and targets, KPI’s, QA/QC procedures and performance.
Educate the workers in the business unit on how to react in the case of disaster recovery, by conducting regular simulations for environmental hazards.
Assist the Department Director in communicating the support needs of the department to the Program Manager.
Coordinate with other departments and Divisions in the implementation of the current and future Master Plan deliverables and initiatives.
In the absence of the Director, support the acting Director until such time as the director resumes his duties.
People Management
Direct or assist in establishing, measuring, and reporting the achievement of department goals and targets, KPI’s, QA/QC procedures and performance.
Assist the Director in identifying gaps in knowledge and skillsets of staff, and in implementation of appropriate training and career path advancement tools.
Assist the Department Director in communicating the support needs of the department to the SAPL Program

Review all the health and safety documents,
such as OH&S management system manual, hazards,
objectives and targets, legal requirement,
training requirement and other documents.
Conducting management review with the station management to review station’s health and safety performance.
Conducting OHSAS internal audit to assess the station’s health and safety performance.
Use knowledge and skills to promote a positive health and safety environment in the workplace.
Assist to plan, implement, monitor and review protective and preventative safety measures.
Enforce and monitor, procedures and guidelines for all personnel to follow

• Investigate accident to ascertain causes for use in recommending preventive safety measures and developing safety programs.
• Predictable job hazards on site in which affected work force must be cautioned before their work starts.
• Carry out site surveys / patrols to see that only safe work methods are in operation, that health and safety requirements are being observed, and welfare facilities are adequate and properly maintained.
• Monitors daily tool box meetings or pre-job instruction meeting of foreman / supervisors.
• Foster within the Company an understanding that the injury prevention and damage controls are an integral part of the business and operational efficiency
• Stop the job whenever unsafe acts or conditions are noted. Monitor and ensure compliance of field work force with the work permit system.
• Responsible for the daily routine inspections and monitoring of compliance of the workforce with the safety rules and regulations on the project with primary function of supporting
• Specific Responsibilities include;
• Coordinate for safety, health, security and environment issues with client counterpart in the field that concern or effect day-to-day operation.
• Be familiar with the project specific established emergency procedures and ensures that the same is fully conveyed to site employees in his respective area of coverage.
• Determine the cause of any incident including the near misses and recommend means of preventing their recurrence.
• Assist the site Manager / Superintendent in recording and analysis of information on injuries, damage and production loss.
• Assist the site manager / superintendent in assessing incident trends, serious safety violations and reviews overall safety performance.
• Keep up to date with the recommended code of practice and safety literature. Circulate information applicable to each level of employees.
• Assist to site safety manager / superintendent in training employees on selected disciplines
Attend shore tanks gauging at Luberef, Samref Refinery, Aramco and Petro Rabigh take representative samples for analysis and retention.
Attend shore tanks gauging and calculate the receipt quantities and compare the four-point analysis.

Processing all government and company document in Western Region.
Verify the accuracy of measurement equipment.
Work safely in the presence of hazardous materials as defined in the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheet
