Moving the marketing of entertainment to the digital world and as part of the founding team on a new project, the role entailed:
• Identifying the objectives and building the strategy for the online marketing of content for mobile and web
• Creating new and innovative approach to interactive strategic content and UGC
• Working closely with regional composers to create unique content offerings exclusive to the web and mobile users
• Building direct relations with main target audience in order to offer more engaging and strategic solutions to the content
• Responsible for regional market research on users’ online habits and content preferences
• Conducting a comprehensive competitive analysis of group partners and regional players in entertainment digital world
• Working closely with the branding team on the look and feel of the platform
As part of the management team for the entertainment arm of MBC, the main scope of work included:
• Building the operation and the business development for a new record label in the Arab region.
• Responsible for forming a team of professionals in Marketing, PR, Artist Management, Design and Promotion
• Leading the artist management team into performing proper artist grooming, repackaging and developing of products
• In charge of the A&R (artist and repertoire) including scouting new talents, selecting the audio for each artist, working with top composers, song writers and music arrangers, video productions.
• Member of the decision board on new talents and the company communication
• Working very closely with the legal department on drafting and reviewing all the legal contracts with suppliers and artists
• Sorting all suppliers for BTL and ATL activities
Entrepreneurial project heading the events and artist management in charge of the following:
• Organizing corporate events for multinationals like Motorola, MTV, Mckinsey
• Organizing big music concerts for regional and international artists
• Organizing artists’ albums launch events and press conferences
• Managing big artists like Carole Samaha and Mohamed Hamaki with regards to their relations with media, sponsors, production companies, music videos and other music related affairs.
Main responsibilities surrounding the marketing of Artist, included:
• Creating, planning, and executing the marketing strategies for leading Artists such as: Darine Hadchiti,
Johanna Mallah, Tamer Hosni, Carole Samaha, Shereen, Diana Haddad and many more.
• Leading and executing the marketing planned activities by servicing all promo material to the Media, which includes:
TV local; international and regional channels; local and regional newspapers and magazines; as well as local and
regional radio stations.
• Creating new channels for Artists’ exposure such as organizing launch events and press conferences, participating in charity events, planning and executing joint promotions; and making appearances at special events.
• Creating new distribution channels and coordinate with Sales Department
• Managing the production and logistics of albums
• Managing the sales requests from distributors across the region and the international office in Paris
• Scouting for new talent
Managing Media Relations included:
• Preparing Bios for the Artists. Prepare all Press Releases, Press Conferences and Press Nuggets
• Managing day-to-day relations with the media, business partners and advertising agencies.
• Setting the marketing strategies for Artist and executed plans for leading artists, including: Amr Diab, Elissa,
Mohamed Fouad, Ihab Tawfik and Elissa
• Setting new standards for the existing marketing tools.
• Designing and implementing new Marketing Tools to include new POS and Instore promotional material.
• Managing and organizing launch events and press conferences for front line Artists such as Elissa, Amer Mounib,
Saber el Roubai and many others.
• Handling the marketing campaigns for all Rotana artists which covered a budget of over $10million.
• Managing day-to-day relations with the media, advertising agencies and business partners.
• Managing the relations with the Tahseen staff in Egypt and CATALYST staff in Washington D.C. and other involved
parties for all of the event logistics and activities.
• Providing all of the technical support needed for the ANE Conference.
• Monitoring and evaluating the subcontracted Logistic and travel company performance and activities.
• Managing the relations with other subcontracted suppliers.
• Directly involved in the decision making process for the ANE Conference with the Deputy Country Representative
and Country Representative.

• Managing media relations with national and satellite TV Channels in addition to all major print media.
