Collection and Default Manager
Collection Timelines, DDMs in the Payment Clearing Account with the Originating Bank. Coordination with Finance to perform a final daily reconciliation of all funds received via SARIE and the various payment channels. The reconciliation process compares the total cash deposited for the day to the amount of payments posted to the Servicing System, and any out-of-balance issues must be immediately identified and corrected. Corrections are necessary and made a new payment batch is produced and the totals are compared again. Defaults Management, Pre-legal & Loss Mitigation, PLLMD for intervention and risk assessment, Bankruptcy, Recovery,
REO Division.
• Developing a strategy plan for collection and through effective resource management. Nurturing healthy working relationships internally and externally. Initiating remedial measures in late buckets to minimize losses. Keeping control on the flow rate to achieve the targeted results.
• Encouraging partnership and teamwork, sharing information and taking collective decisions to achieve outstanding performance. Reviewing department capacity planning and re-engineering projects. Activities such as shift assignment/ rotation and collectors’ attendance.
• Appropriate techniques to achieve targets specific bucket for the month. Providing feedback to business and reporting line on issues concerning buckets and collectors relating to performance, recruitment and operations.
• Managing compliance risk in liaison with the functional head, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.
• Implementing quality control measures to ensure that the business operates within the set guidelines.
• Bringing HSBC best technology and practices used globally in collections industry.
