- issuance & cancellation of international/regional paging signaling for maritime units through the branches.
- issuance of maritime mobile service identity (MMSI) numbers through the branches.
- issuance and renewal of maritime wireless equipment licenses and collection of their due fees through the SADAD payment system in the CITC.
• Applying functional expertise for conducting technical inspection of wireless maritime wireless equipment installed on marine unit ships that enter the territorial waters for their registration under the Saudi flag.
• Receiving applications for the issuance, renewal, cancellation and amendment of license of the different frequencies wireless equipment as well as amateur radio licenses.
• Assessing individual applications received by the branch for satellite search and rescue operations.
• Updating details of the licensed service providers in the SADAD payment system database.
