Details:
 Perform Material receiving Inspection of HVAC Material and equipment as per procurement order (PO) and review Mill Test Certificates (MTC) in accordance with applicable codes & standards like SAEP 1151, SAER 1972, SMACNA, ASHRAE, UL, etc.
 Ensuring satisfactory identification of material, proper protection of Ducts, Terminal equipment, Supports, pipes and fittings, proper size and schedule/thickness of pipes.
 Reading and understanding of I.F.C drawings, ensuring that work is going on accordingly. Making as built drawings if required.
 Checked and understand the HVAC equipment schedule plan, to know the equipment specification and identification of location where to be install.
 Perform the installation Inspection of duct work, equipment installation as per ITP, IFC drawings and Inspection Checklist (ICL) by complying Saudi Aramco Standards, project specifications and SMACNA, ASHRAE & NFPA requirement.
 Witnessing, verifying and record the quality work being performed by the construction people is satisfactory and with compliance with approved documents provided by the client and raise Request for Inspection (RFI) for Project Inspection Department (PID) in order to approve the activity is being inspected by me.
 Preparing of Hydrostatic Test Packages and complete follow up of hydrotest for chilled water supply and return piping.
 Verification of Test media (Water Quality), check their PH value, chloride (ppm), sulphate (ppm), addition of SRB if required and TDS (ppm) as per ASTM standard.
 Conduct Testing, Adjusting and Balancing of HVAC system as per applicable standards.
 Issuance of non-conformance report (NCR’s) to construction department for the violation of Codes and Standards during work, close off of NCR when a successful corrective action is carried out fully confirmed with quality requirement.
 Follow up of PMCC list /Punch list for “B” items in order to finalize the facility work.
 Installation inspection of different types of gaskets (isolating, spiral wound) & bolt tightening of flange joints including blind flanges as per the approved procedure. .

Perform Material receiving Inspection of storage tanks plates (for shell, bottom & roof), nozzles, manholes, structures material i.e. ladder, spiral stairways, plateform, gaskets, nut bolts, stud bolts as per procurement order (PO) and review Mill Test Certificates (MTC) in accordance with applicable codes & standards like API 650, 32SAMSS 005, SAES-D- 100, SAEP-1151, SAER-1972 & ASTM.
Ensuring satisfactory identification of material, proper protection of pipes and fittings, verify proper size and schedule/thickness of pipes & tank plates.
Reading and understanding of I.F.C drawings, ensuring that work is going on accordingly. Making as built drawings if required.
Perform the installation & fit up inspection of tank plates, nozzles, manholes, stairways, monkey ladder, pipe supports, roof platform and other attachments.
Carried out detail inspection of mechanical installation activities as per ITP, IFC drawings and Inspection Checklist (ICL) by complying Saudi Aramco and API650 Codes & Standards.
Installation Inspection of tank plates (for roof, shell &bottom), checking their alignment, plumpness, roundness, peaking & banding for vertical & horizontal joints of the plates.

Hydrostatic test follow up for the piping spools inside & outside of the tanks, verifying the calibration & ranges for pressure gauges, relief valves, testing manifold and visual inspection of test line for leakage.
Verification of Test media (Water Quality), check their PH value, chloride (ppm), sulphate (ppm), addition of SRB if required and TDS (ppm) as per ASTM standard.
Issuance of non-conformance report (NCR’s) to construction department for the violation of Codes and Standards during work.
Close off of NCR when a successful corrective action is carried out to remove violation of Codes and Standards.
Coordination with third party for NDT testing and follow up.
Follow up of PMCC list /Punch list for “B” items in order to finalize the tanks for box up & handover.
Installation inspection of different types of gaskets (isolating, spiral wound) & bolt tightening of flange joints including blind flanges as per the approved procedure.
Inspection of bolt tightening for access structure bolts (16mm & above) as per the approved procedure also verify the calibration of torque wrench used.
Attending monthly QA/QC meetings conducted by top management in order to review the monthly progress done and to plan for next month work.
Complete coordination with Site Engineer, site supervisor in order to perform quality work.
Making and updating of Final Record Book for inspection.

As Testing & Commissioning Engineer my responsibilities were:

Making complete package for Testing & Commissioning of equipment.
Sending the package to client for approval two days before testing & commissioning.
Ensuring the availability of instrument (ammeter, voltmeter, tachometer etc.), gauges (pressure gauges, temp gauges, velocity meter, flow meter) and trained crew during testing & commissioning.
Planning, executing, leading and controlling the testing & commissioning process as per Method of Statement.
Instructing the test & commissioning crew on every step so that the activity could be carried out safely.
Ensuring that all the equipment is installed as per P&ID including their inlet & outlet piping system.
Noting the data of equipment i.e. pumps, heaters, motors, AHU’s, FCU’s, and PRV’s during operation and comparing it with the design data for conformance.
Ensuring the correct position of valves (open or close), before injecting the power.
Ensuring that all the measuring instruments i.e. pressure gauges, temperature gauges, flow meters and pressure relief valves are calibrated and certificates are attached in the package.
Checking and observing the equipment for noise, vibration, leak, high pressure, and overheating during operation.
Checking the ampere, voltage, frequencies & shaft rpm of electric motors during operation and compare it with the design data for conformance.
Checking the flow rate, pressure, velocity & temperature of the pumps during operation and compare it with the design data for conformance.
Taking signatures from the contractor, client and other responsible persons on test package after successful completion of testing & commissioning phase.
Keeping the record of all testing & commissioning activities both in hard & soft form.

Testing & Commissioning Phase:
In this phase, I was involved in the Testing & Commissioning of the following:

Testing and Commissioning of Potable Boosted water pumps, Submersible Pumps, PRV’s on Potable Water Supply line, Central Electric Water Heaters, Local Electric Water Heaters, Hot Water Circulating Pumps. AHU’s, FCU’s, Primary and Secondary Chilled Water Pumps, Pressurization Units at Chilled Water Supply and Chilled Water Return pipe line, Flushing and Chlorination of the Potable Water Piping System, Hot Water Balancing through TMV’s & DRV’s as per the approved Method of Statement.
