Other Duties

• Basic troubleshooting of desktop related applications.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers and scanners
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot windows and Microsoft Office and any other authorized desktop applications.
• Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
• Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
• Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk.
• Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation.
• Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software.
• Document internal procedures.
• Assist with on boarding of new users.
• Ensure each workstation has a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, and any additional specialized equipment.
• Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software.
• Report issues to the Service Desk for escalation.
• Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software.
• Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory.
• Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.
• H/W inventory and labeling of IT Assets using IBM MAXIMO system.
• Working on IBM Maximo ticketing system.
• Working with Security Solution clients (Symantec Endpoint protection 11, 12, 14 - Symantec Endpoint Encryption, )
• Configure, install, and manage data backups for applications and systems.
• planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades and maintaining records of software licenses.
