Responsible for the IT department, interrelating with all the internal & external interlocutors.
Responsible for the overall activities and for the final results of the IT department.
Organizes and allocates the necessary resources for the department.
Plans the support of other sites.
In charge of the IT reporting and statistics.
Participates in the budget elaboration for the IT issues and monitors its implementation.
Supervises, coaches and supports all the IT staff.
• Responsible for sale of related products and services.
• Follow accounts through proposal contract installation ongoing service.
• Complete sales forecasting and backlog requirements.
• Generate equipment upgrades of existing assigned base.
• Work jointly with the Sales Engineering and Operations Support Team in assuring customer satisfaction with pricing support order provisioning and project management.
• Assist in the settlement of any account disputes as needed.
• Submit sales forecasts and other administrative requirements in a timely fashion.
• Develop and execute account plans for assigned accounts.
• Assist in developing new products and marketing strategies for assigned accounts.
• Work closely with the Technical Consultant team to proposed a Solution according to the customers’ requirement and secure the business.
• Hunt and secure new Accounts and develop Accounts from internal sales leads and existing customer.
• Accountable for meeting sales targets and to achieve businesses that are aligned with the core competencies of the company.
• Responsible for all IT issues.
• Responsible for IT reparation.
• Responsible for quotation and contracts.
• Responsible for preforming the annual IT budget.
• Responsible for IT training for the staff.
• Administration and Maintenance of database systems and reports of the organization
• Maintain networks, internet connectivity and firewall.
• Network Administrator.
• Maintain IT assets and distortion recovery.
• Administrate the organization SharePoint web site.
• Administrate network system’s operation and security including backup and recovery.
• Contribute and implement IT plan.
• Create and maintain database systems to maximize effectiveness of data retrieval and reporting.
Information Technology:
• Develop and draft plans, strategies. Policies and procedures for the design, implementation, and maintenance of computer systems, data modelling, networks and/or office automation or workstations for ACTED Develop maintain and improve complex applications, systems databases and data.
• Monitor, improve and troubleshoot any systems bottlenecks or any other situations that affect negatively network and systems performance
• Repairer and maintenance of hardware including computer, laptops, printers.
• Plan, develop, install, administer and maintain computer systems networks.
• Ordering of spare parts; make up of proposals for international orders, propose local purchase of ICT equipment and execute the purchase procedures.
• Brief and train all new expats on ICT materials usage.
• Arrange field visit to Darfur and South Sudan as well.
• Analysing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
Telecommunication:
• Telecom management (HF/VHF Radios, Sat phones i.e. Thuraya, VSAT and etc...)
• Develop and prepare training materials and technical, user and system documentation for the ACTED staff community.
• Ensure that the radio network, HF, VHF (hardware and software) are up and running
• People briefed and trained on the use of it telecom materials
• Make sure in every office, the telecom are running and people are briefed on how to use them.
• Make sure we have a proper contingency plan, have spare equipment up and running in case of any need
Telecom equipment and radio telecom:
• Telecom management including (xDSL, VSAT, HF/ VHF, Sat phones and etc...)
• Ensure that the radio network, HF, VHF (hardware and software) are up and running
• People briefed and trained on the use of it telecom materials
• Make sure in every office, the telecom are running and people are briefed on how to use them.
• Make sure we have a proper contingency plan, have spare equipments up and running in case of any need
Information Technology:
• Networks design, installation, security, troubleshooting and administration using various platforms i.e. windows 2000 server, NT/2003 server, Linux
• Ensure that the users clean the ICT materials, computers, printers etc and to monitor stock of ICT cleaning materials.
• Follow maintenance of the office network and firewall
• Follow-up the internet connection accounts
• Follow up the back-up system, do backup for shared computer and make sure each user makes backups
• Ensure that data equipment such as computers and printers are working well before being sending to the field.
• Perform routine data back up each month and upgrade anti-virus to all computers (CD Zine) etc according to MSF Standard when we have new DAT release from.
• Ensure photocopying machines are operational through routine checks and repairs follow up with supplying company.
• Ensure telephone and fax machine are working and follow-up with the supplying company.
• Test all ICT equipment received by the mission prior to putting them in use
• Provide coaching in the use of IT equipment and software to the staff in Khartoum
• Ensure proper use of IT material (kept out of dust, cleaned by users, doc saved properly)
• Brief all new expats on IT materials usage, mostly laptop computers and filing.
• Provide full ICT technical support to MSF Belgium - Sudan Mission
• Responsible for all ICT technical issues.
• Train staff in Information and Communication Technology.
• Computer’s software and hardware installations.
• System administration, troubleshooters and Database administrator.
• Automatic Backup for the users.
• Provide IT Help desk and technical support to users.
• Teaching Assistant (Introduction and Operations, PC maintenance, Networks )
• Certified ICDL Tester and Trainer.
