The tremendous growth of trade and operations in Dubai during the period of 2006 to 2009 led to increased operations within the Dubai Customs and ultimately expansion and development of the Business Process function. I was involved in the evolution of the Business Process department and the transformation of the organization as a whole with respect to its organization structure. My role included the following;
Responsibilities:
• Accountable to plan and lead of continuous process improvement and quality capabilities across the organization.
• Managing initiatives for business processes improvement through Customer-Centric, Outside In (OI), & Customer experience approach to enhance customer service, decrease operational expenditures, and increase customer satisfaction.
• Responsible to coach teams of process improvement analysts to support the delivery of key programs.
• Coordinating with key business leaders and process owners across the organization to identify, frame, evaluate and prioritize organization-wide process improvement opportunities that enhance our customer experience.
• Supporting the growth and development of key process improvement capabilities across the organization through facilitated workshops, training sessions and presentations.
• Involved in the development & implementation of BPM service operations.
• Spearheading Business Process Management (BPM) Methodology throughout the organization.
Achievement:
• Successfully realized a Cost Saving of AED 18 million in 2013 through process improvement initiatives.
• Successfully realized a Cost Saving of AED 42 million in 2012 through process improvement initiatives.
• Successfully realized a Cost Saving of AED 22 million in 2011 through process improvement initiatives.
