In this role, I work closely with relevant stakeholders to assess the existing governance policies and practices to conduct comprehensive audits and gap analyses. By generating reports, I summarise audit plans, audit findings, internal control system supporting findings, milestones and other key deliverables. I recommend actionable improvements to corporate governance following applicable legislation, relevant decisions, and resolutions of the Steering Committee. One of my achievements includes that I deliver necessary modifications to the corporate governance framework that benchmarked to international best practices. I also lead and organise training for Board Members, Committees, Executive Management Team, and other key people on the modified corporate governance practices.

Project Management Consultant (PMC) Joint Venture

In this role, I spearheaded and managed the phase 1 of the Doha Metro Project consisted of five out of the eight project management consultancy design as well as developed packages for the Joint Venture (JV) operations. I monitored the prime contract agreement with Qatar Rail and sub-consultant agreement to carry out the JV operations. By formulating and instigating joint venture strategies, I facilitated contract negotiations and compliance and actively contributed to controlling the risk, maximising revenue, effectively accomplishing revenue orders, and avoiding claims. I discussed the technical difficulties and changes with JV Board and oversaw sub-consultant performance while also handling complex change requests. By creating and submitting JV operating statements and monthly reports to the JV Board, I provided oversight of financial status, shares of members, common expenses follow up, and cash flow forecast.

Key Achievements:
♦ Directed all the project phases to ensure the timely, on-scope, and within budget delivery of Phase 1 of the Doha Metro Project while also addressing and closing all claim-related matters that resulted in zero claims.
♦ Satisfied all relevant stakeholder groups requirements by defining and instigating the JV structure.
♦ Incorporated critical organisational changes focused on people, culture, processes and system.
♦ Implemented Qatar Rail’s Zero Harm practices and received the RoSPA Silver Award for the Major Stations Project and Gold Line Underground 20 million man-hours with zero Lost Time Injury (LTI).
