• Legal research: Conducting legal research for court judgments, arbitration precedents, laws, rules and regulations on various internal and external databases including Westlaw, Dubai Courts database, Practical Law, Kluwer, GAR, Eastlaws and others.
• Translation: Translating legal documents and reviewing/ammending translation of documents received from external translators.
• Arbitration Cases: Handling the proofreading, formating and pagination of arbitration submissions, preparing the exhibits and indexes, preparing the bundles including the common bundles used at hearings, assisting in hearing preparations including booking hearing rooms, engaging transcribers and ensuring delievery of all required materials.
• Opening and maintaining matters files: Conducting conflict checks and WIP clearance, requesting and obtaining KYC documents, preparing letters of engagement, maintaining the e-filing and hard-copy filing, working on billing and collection, including following up with clients regarding payments.
• Administrative work: Undertaking the day to day administrative work including managing callendars, arranging meetings and conference calls, transcribing dictation into documents, saving business contacts, entering timesheets, entering BD activities, assisting with travel arrangements and bookings.
Translation of documents (English into Arabic and vice versa) for a wide range of investment, financial, commercial, insurance, consultancy companies and institutions as well as banks inside UAE.
