• The screening of 3 Films: ‘1/2 Revolution’ directed by Omar Shargawi & Karim El Hakim during the 25 Jan uprising, which I filmed a large portion of and appear as one of the main characters. ‘Falling into Oneself’ which mirrors the fears during the lead-up to the 2012 midyear Presidential elections as people were afraid for what may become of women, and largely Egypt itself, depending on who assumed the reign of powers. The third film ‘Acapella’ had its World Premiere at the Berlinale earlier that Feb and speaks of the hope that shines between the people who choose to break free from chains of conditioning
• The screenings were followed by an extended Q&A session with Islam Safiyyudin Mohamed lasting 90 minutes

• One of 15 artists chosen to produce their films in March 2014 in Egypt. I was paired with director Gustavo Jahn & Melissa Dullius to assist me on my film \[Acapella\] as I assisted them on theirs \[The Mirror - El Meraya\]. Gustavo and I had collaborated 6 years before in 2008 on his film Triangulum.
• Acapella will focus on storytelling through experimental archaic imagery and sound spanning the Super 8mm b&w and color film
• Art installation ‘Pyramid No. 4’ was also on show the night the preliminary sneak preview of Acapella was presented, which further explores the same theme
