• Preparation of Project Cost Estimate, Budget and Project cost tracking on daily basis, assist project team in all aspects related to cost, Taking special initiatives and implementing cost reduction measures.
• Monitoring cost with respect to budget, reporting the deviations to Management and taking corrective actions.
• Procurement Co-Ordination, Assistance and Follow-up, Studying Quotations, preparing comparative statements & negotiate to obtain competitive rates & Finalization of Subcontract Packages

Responsibilities:

As a Cost Estimator & Quantity Surveyor I was responsible for all commercial aspects of Estimation, Survey, Main Contractor billing and Subcontractors billing works, Assisting in Cost Reports, Costing of new items & Variation orders, monitoring cost with respect to budget, Assisting in Claim preparation, Negotiation & Finalization of Subcontract Packages, Assisting in Preparation of Subcontract agreements, leading discussions and award of packages, Monitoring performance of the Subcontractors, Contracts Administration with Main Contractor and Subcontractors

Position: Tendering/Estimation Engineer - Head Office

Responsibilities:

• Conducting Site Visit and attending pre tender meeting with the Client/ Engineer and preparing the site visit investigation reports (SIR)
• Studying complete Tender documents and Preparing Tender Appraisal for management reference.
• Handling Pre-Tender correspondences with Clients, Consultants & raising tender queries to avoid any discrepancies

Project Description: Project comprising vast variety of Site Preparation Works, Earthworks, Asphalt Works, Street Lighting Works (HV & LV Cables 62, 000 lm ), Ducts, Potable Water Supply System, Foul Water Collection System, Storm Water Drainage, Concrete Works with all associated Site Establishment and Electrical Works.

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force, on-site operations and the work of subcontractors;
• Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planner, quantity surveyor and the general workforce involved in the project;
• Ensuring that materials and resources required have been ordered on time and materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
• Support in finalization of Billing Break ups, and checking drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials.
• Planning, preparing, implementing and efficiently organizing a short-term construction program including necessary equipment/manpower and site facilities needed in order to meet agreed deadlines

Position: Site Engineer

Project Description: Earthworks encompassing Demolition of Existing Facilities, Rock Excavation 3.9 million m³, Filling of 4 million m³, Leveling of 1200 Hectares, Fencing with all associated site establishment works and construction of site temporary facilities

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the submittal of job requests to direct works or subcontracted works.
• Assisting the Construction Manager in preparing planning schedules for the site work (Manpower, Machinery Materials & Equipment resources) timely to complete the project based on the agreed schedule.
• Supervising the work of subordinates
• Implementing the work schedule and updating it on day-to-day basis.
• Dealing with the subcontractors and allocating the manpower & Machineries according to the requirement at site to achieve the progress as scheduled.
• Liaising with the local authorities for the permits of works and other construction related matters and ensuring compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;
• Raising the RFI (Request of Inspection) to Client/Consultant for the completed activities on daily basis & jointly inspecting with the client representative.
• Making progress reports, daily site diaries & maintaining the records accordingly.
• Preparing & evaluating the productivity of every equipment on daily basis by the aid of relevant software.
• Ensure that all QA/QC and HSE health and safety procedures are followed.

Description: Construction of sports hall consisting of basketball court, sport rooms such as Baby foot, Ping
Pong, Billiard, Massage, boiler, entertainment area and related facilities
Achievement: Assist the project team to expedite the project progress by involving in the execution of all works.
Responsibilities:
 Involving in Preparation & Submission of structural shop drawings.
 Managing, Monitoring and Interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client/architect;
 Supervising assigned on-site operations
 Preparing Bar Bending schedule
 liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planner, quantity surveyor and the general workforce involved in the project;
 Follow up with site engineers of subcontractor to ensure that work is being carried out as per design
drawings, specifications & meeting planned dates in schedule
 Responsible for raising inspections for each activity.
 Preparation, submission & follow-up of monthly invoices to the consultant
 Following up LPO until to get the materials at site.
 Sending Inquiries for the specific tasks required by the client to subcontractors/suppliers, reviewing and
evaluating the received quotations based on the specifications given by the client & getting approved through submitting the submittals to the Consultant.
 Assist in generating the Monthly Progress report to Planning Engineer
 Involve in additional tasks which frequently given by the Project Manager.

Project: Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of buildings affected during the war 2006
Position: Undergraduate Jr. Civil Inspector - concreting & building finishing
Responsibilities:
 Inspecting the completed works of the contractors on site as per specifications and drawings and handing over
 Keep, Log, monitor and follow up as necessary and maintain complete record(s) concerning the execution of the works.
 Conducting regular site visits and inspections of civil works (reinforcement, formwork, scaffolding works,
concrete pouring), sampling and testing of materials to assure that compliance with the contract specification (slump test, compressive strength…)
 Issue pre-inspection reports and feeding back to contractors for actioning any changes as per the specification
 Identify non-conforming work or materials, notify contractor and keep a record. Follow up corrective and preventive measure taken by the Contractor.
 Inspect the on-site and off-site materials to be used in the project
 Checking the finishes in the Building such as: Plastering works, Tiling works, Wooden doors, Painting works, False ceiling works, Waterproofing...
 Monitor the progress of the work against the approved contractor programme of works.
 Assist in the review of the contractor’s interim payment application.
 Attend site technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor (s) submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, variation orders and construction related matters.
