Managing Production Planning, Supply Planning, Milk Balance & Strategic material inventories and B2B Trading.
Handling core businesses contain Business Units Dairy, Foods, Juice, Bakery and Infant Nutrition.
Reporting to Group supply chain manager and managing a team of 35 with 4 direct reports.
Manages Demand Planning, S&OP / IBP process, Supply chain planning system and Projects
• Responsible to deliver Monthly Rolling Forecasts, Annual Budget, 5 Year plan and Seasonal Ramadan & Hajj volumes for Almarai Company
• Responsible for Sales & operation planning process, meetings, action plans, issue resolution, tracking and prepare reports and presentations to communicate S&OP activities to stake holders.
• Leading a team of 13 to deliver demand plans for over 500 SKUs by week for 65 sales depots by trade channels in KSA & Gulf for business units, Dairy, Food, Juice, Bakery, infant Nutrition & International markets (Exports).
• Continuously improving Forecast accuracy and supply chain process efficiency through development and setup of state of art demand planning and Integrated Business Planning systems.
• Manages supply chain planning systems and projects implementations and developments
• Reports to Group Supply Chain Manager
• Directed flow of Almarai finished goods, spare parts and consumables to sales depots to maintain optimal inventory across the supply chain.
• Planning of long-life finished goods inventory of 1.3 million+ L/Kg per week and manage the supply of over 35Million Liter/Lk per week of fresh dairy, juice, and bakery into 63 depots spread across GCC.
• Planning, supply and control of inventory value SR3, 806 Billion across 63 sales depots by ensuring the flow of Capital expenditure, revenue procurements and spare parts for Sales Division with 33, 000+ coolers, 2, 650+ sales vans, and 900+ cars and cruisers valued at SR 307 Million.
• Ensure that high-level production planning is aligned to the sales forecast and that fluctuations in demand are catered for by production.
• Information service provider to Sales Support Managers, covering the functions of Supply Planning, Logistics, Fleet, Refrigeration and Facilities Maintenance
• Manage enhancements to existing systems which improve inventory visibility in fleet, fridges and finished goods together with IT department.
• Report to National Sales support manager.
Supply Planning Finish goods distribution from factory to depots all over GCC
Planning inventory replenishment to maintain inventory levels within inventory policy of every active sku with minimal fluctuations.
Deciding targeted inventory cover across all depots depending on capacity and Forecast.
Analyse depot stocks, sales trends, and demand fluctuations to minimise lost sales oppurtunities & minimise the risk of ageing.
Recommand changes in production planning to keep stock fresh as possible and avoid ageing in line with demand fluctuations.
Control ageing stocks at depots by effective resupply planning and re deploying inventory around depots as well as alerting sales team in advance with approprite remedies to prevent stock obsolence.
Highlight any abnormalities in demand plans to ensure timely corrective action to realign upstream supply chain processes.
Processing of weekly replenishment orders, all promotional SKU’s and newly launched SKU’s.
Produce a weekly high level load plan for foods distribution to ensure logical flow of goods into depot, and also optimise utilisation of existing depot storage.
Model and formulate action plans and manage supply to meet peak demands during Ramadan and Hajj.
Provide support and system training to logistics management and depot operations on inventory related issues.
Effectively manage SARAS vs SAP stock updates and overall reconciliation to ensure inventory is aligned in both systems for all sales operations.
Provide sales regions and operations with an immediate supply plan on fresh product allocations when over or under manufacture occurs, or dramatic over / under selling occurs
Primary responsibilities include Demand forecasting, budget analysis and Sales Performance analysis involving 300 Active SKU’s; with 10% new SKU’s per year for Dairy, Foods & Juice Products.
Managed the demand forecasting process in coordination with the sales, supply chain and the manufacturing teams.
Review of historic sales trends, research of demand drivers, preparation of forecast and evaluation of results
Periodically, system/baseline forecasts are populated in the Procast (Forecasting Tool) by SKU, by depot and by week. Applying different models such as time series & growth models and seasonality and Additive events to the trend.
Perform the key data-exchange processes between the forecasting system and ERP (SAP). Update the demand signals to the whole supply functions specifying exceptional forecast changes.
Developed automated excel reports for forecast accuracy & sales trend analysis by various categories.
ABC classification for items by sales analysis and impact of forecast on levels of sales.
Coordination of the forecasts for new product rollouts based on trends in historic data. Monitor new rollout products performance for improvement.
Manage other administrative duties and daily / monthly progress reports. Developed a Monthly progress report which tracks the Sales, Forecast Versions, History, and Budgets.
Assist demand forecast with annual budgetary calculation & preparation activities in terms of volumes and wastage.

Partnering with Production and Sales Teams in strengthening service level accuracy. Develop tools to consolidate supply and demand information for a holistic decision making for the company
Monitoring Product Issue and Receipts reconciliation with Plant & Depots.
Initiating and coordinating Capex (Capital Expenditure) of Sales division and Coordinate all purchases from the initial stage of purchase requisition to the receipt of goods and final payment to the supplier.
Responsible for initiating 5-10 Capexes per week and Create SAP purchase requisitions for the entire requirements of sales division, approximately 50 depots under 6 regions in 6 countries in middle east.
Export reconciliation - Coordinates with transport and central plant, assist Export Manager to provide fast and prompt service of export orders and export sales reconciliation.
Achievements
Developed reports which showed up the bull whipping effect i.e. the inconsistencies between forecast, planned orders and sales. Then, help to achieve a more smooth and consistent Demand Plan Accuracy.
**Promoted as Sales Analyst in Demand Planning Department
Supply planning of finished goods factory to sales depots.
Based on agreed Inventory policy, forecast, lead time, stock in hand, safety stocks and forecast accuracy; plan the weekly stock replenishment for 38 -42 sales depots. Develop and maintain planning model to determine the future needs by considering the above facts. Monitoring stocks levels regularly to maintain the perpetual inventory control.
Order processing and preparing delivery plan with Operations and depots
Process Purchase Orders (depot wise) in SAP and forward the same to CPP Cold Stores and transports. Generate a high level load plan for logical flow of products into depots considering depot storage capacities and transportation resource availabilities. Generate Manifest plan for Gulf depots in accordance with load plan. Send confirmed orders and load plan by depots for each region to respective Regional Logistics Managers/Supervisors for storage planning.
Provide immediate supply plan to operations in case of over/under production at CPP or when dramatic under/over selling occurs in the regions/depots
Generating Weekly reports and submitting to Key managers in Sales & operations divisions.
Sales Vs Forecast, Demand Plan Accuracy, Stock Aging Analysis, Depot and CPP stock Cover reports, Supply service level, Transport Service Level and different kinds ad-hoc reports for Sales division using Business Objects, SAP, MS excel etc.
Assists Export Manager to provide fast and prompt service of export orders and export sales reconciliation.
Initiates and coordinates the Capex approvals and Purchases for the Sales & Marketing Division.
Implementation of 2-step reconciliation process.
Successfully introduced and rolled out the 2 - step product reconciliation process between Plant & sales depots with the assistance of SAP support, Sales & Operations management.
