• Oversee and participate in security inspections of the housing facilities;
• Develop and periodically monitor a reporting system designed to detect security issues in the housing facilities;
• Make recommendations to correct security issues once identified;
• Participate in providing security for all occupants of housing buildings and grounds;
• Provide assistance and security to community agencies using the housing facilities;
• Prevent unauthorized visitors from entering the housing complex;
• Inform management of observed tenants and visitors behavior problems;
• Carry out investigations, upon request, regarding cases of legal residency of tenants;
• Maintain liaison with police, fire and other municipal departments to insure maximum use of their services in order to provide adequate security and safety;
• Prepare reports and assist in special assignments as directed;
• Use computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments.
• Confirm presence and activities of scheduled security officers at assigned sites.
• Identify and notify replacement personnel to assume vacant guard assignments.
• Perform the duties of security officers when necessary.
• Provide direction and training to site officers and contract employees as needed to accomplish service goals.
• Review site documentation, activity and guard tour reports.
• Monitor welfare of security personnel working after-hour and remote assignments.
• Provide officer backup when investigating irregularities.
• Provide supplies, materials and implement temporary repairs to compromised fence, gate and lock systems.
• Respond to alarm notifications.
• Patrol utility sub-stations, un-staffed facilities, construction lay-down yards, and other sites as needed.
• Meet and provide access to law enforcement agencies to secured and/or energized areas as needed.
• Provide periodic reports to management regarding site activities, irregularities, and identifying needed action.
• Work outside scheduled hours to ensure consistent coverage, attend training classes, meetings and other activities as needed to meet the business needs of the organization and the workgroup.
• Assume on-call duty as assigned, responding to security needs and reporting to duty as necessary.
• Basic training in ground combat and recruit training course • Basic trade training course as an operation air group (II) • Advance training course as a local controller Group (I)
