Position: Resident Engineer

Scope of Work:
•Construction of 33/ 11 KV Package Unit substations and associated cable works for three projects (A 11180, A 11182 & A 11184) under the contract A 3746, at different areas of Al Ain.
Job Responsibilities:
•Coordination and Management of all construction activities.
•Liaise with Client and coordinate with other stakeholders.
•Review and recommend for approval of Contractors’ shop drawing, material submittals
Method Statements, ITP etc and confirms conformance to the project specifications.
•Review and approve contractor’s Inspection Request (IR) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR)
•Review and recommend for approval for contractor’s Joint Measurement Sheet (JMS), RCDR and
Monthly payment etc.
•Review of Contractor’s weekly and monthly progress report and notifying them in writing
for any delays with respect to Project schedules and construction schedules.
•Review of Contractor’s weekly and Monthly HSE report and monitoring site safety works.
•Supervising and coordinating with all site supervision staff in all disciplines.
•Monitoring the quality control at site and issuing Site Memo’s and Non conformance Report (NCR)
to the contractor in case if the executed works found not complying with approved design/ specifications.
•Assist PRE in project management activities.
•Attend weekly and Monthly progress meeting

Project Name: Construction of Internal Roads at various locations in Al Ain
Duration: July 2014 - November 2014

Scope of Work:
•Construction of different types of underground services such as Storm water network, Sewerage network, Potable water network, laying of all HV/LV cables and internal roads at 3 different locations in Al Ain.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leading the construction team by taking care of all important project deliverables while managing subcontractors, vendors and other stakeholders involved.
• Overseeing and maintaining coordination with the planning and contract departments to ensure timely procurement of important resources as per each site’s individual construction and design needs.
• Reviewing contractual documents while coordinating with technical department for clarifications and strictly adhering to drafting, Quality Assurance and Quality Control guidelines.

• Managed civil works for cable laying, substation construction, contractors, vendors, and construction of various types of buildings including chambers, internal roadways, walkways, drainage, and sewerage systems.
• Prepared and submitted necessary documents while ensuring all important aspects were covered to obtain permits from various authorities for NDRC, Tile Removal, and Asphalt cutting as per site surveys.
