Facilitate in finalising scope of work for engineering design, procurement and construction contractors to find solutions to technical problems and increase organization’s profitability. Aid in technical evaluation of the bidders and award of contract to identify the bid which offers the best value for money. Supervise engineering services related to basic and detailed design of projects to refine the design and estimate the cost of the project. Monitor and track the project progress and make timely corrections to keep the project running in the right manner if and when the contractor performance falls behind. Interface management with construction contractors, design consultants, company’s departments and other stakeholders to ensure quality, prevent likelihood of mistakes, and prevent construction disputes. Led closeout of project and ensure deliverables handover to the satisfaction of concerned stakeholders.
Key Accomplishments:
• Set up and relocated GPF-I facility within scheduled target of 4 months and within budget constraints.
• Served as Project Site head to coordinate with team to ensure timely and successful performance testing of GPF-II plant; led and accomplished ZGPF project as well.
• Collaborated with multi-disciplinary teams for successful construction and commissioning of Adhi-II plant.
Collected user requirements in coordination with all interfaces related to design and construction of cross-country pipe lines, plant piping, storage tanks, structural steel works, equipment selection, installation, erection, and related civil works. Generated project specification and drawings including plot plans, general arrangement drawings, piping isometrics and alignment sheets to detail the project objectives and functionality. Formed material take offs (MTO), bill of quantities (BOQ), request for proposal (RFP) and generating service requisitions in SAP ERP system. Prevented conflicting from arising and resolving disputes to maintain a healthy work environment. Reported progress during the project execution phase to ensure that the project expected results are delivered.
Key Accomplishments:
• Lead multitude of projects related to pipelines, piping and storage facilities from basic design to commissioning.
• Introduced duplex and CRA flow lines first time in the company to protect against corrosion.
Coordinated in-service inspection of pipelines and plant piping with contractors as per API-570, pressure vessels inspection as per API-510, storage tanks inspection as per API-653 for maintenance and fault prevention. Assessed contractors’ reports and collaborated with interface departments for execution of recommendations.
Collaborated with EPCC contractor during installation, construction, and commissioning of Adhi LPG/ NGL Plant-II for optimum utilization of resources, minimizing waste and achieving company objectives. Preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of rotary equipment (gas engines, compressors, pumps, fin-fan coolers etc.) to ensure equipment required for production are operating at maximum efficiency.
