Responsible for forming a new team to the newly born Internet Division in the IT Center. Participated in formulating the web strategy for the Development Board through a series of workshops with decision makers on both DDB and eGovernment Side. Technical Project Manager for 7 projects in partnership with Dubai eGovernment :
- Website revamp & migration to eGovernment servers and systems.
- mDubai : mobile services involving SMS & J2ME applications written in Java & based on XML messaging to eGov integration servers
- ePay : electronic payment gateway project to integrate the service with DDB’s webservices
- eDelivery : application that connects courier service with eServices.
- Contact Center : Informative and Interactive services over the phone with the eGovernment’s facility
- Technology Blueprint : Not a project but a committee was formed to decide on proper technology to be used for implementing DDB eServices and integration with DDB’s JD Edwards back end ERP. Evaluating different technologies and server softwares
- BPR : Business Process Re-engineering of DDB’s candidate services to being exposed on the WEB
Conduct training sessions to technical students on technologies like :
- Java ( serverside technologies )
- XML
- Integration Servers
- Software Patterns
Went through the process of recieving the company's out-sourced web solution.That included setting quality assurance metrics and making sure they were met by the third party software house. Analyzed and designed and developed the official intranet from the Board, including many services aimed at collaborating the internal department's work and smoothing the workflow. Technologies used for the external website : ASP/SQL Server . For the intranet : JSP/Oracle 8i .
Is the focal point between the Board and the Dubai eGovt. Team with respect to integration issues; building XML message parsers in Java. Collaborating with the eGovt. team to bring out the full fledged services of the Board electronically to the eGovt. Portal.
Responsible for the full development of the site's backend structure starting with analysis and design of the site's architecture technically then implementation of database and serverside scripting. (Used mySQL on Solaris DB with PHP serverside scripting) Development of a fully fledged reporting system of all traffic on the site (in the back-end )including pending inquiries for customer support rep's to handle and monitor .Typically acting as webmaster after the site has been launched.
