EHS is a company initiated to computerize the healthcare sector in Jordan, starting with Amman and spreading to all country regions.

EHS is utilizing different technologies, mainly the adopted system is VistA (Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture), which is an enterprise-wide information system built around an electronic health record, used throughout the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical system, known as the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).

VistA is based on MUMPS (Massachusetts General Hospital Utility Multi-Programming System), or alternatively M, is a programming language created in the late 1960s, originally for use in the healthcare industry. It was designed for the production of multi-user database-driven applications.

My role, is to lead the software technology team to understand, study, develop, customize, test, implement, deploy and support the VistA system on different platforms (Linux and Windows).

Project Director/Technical Advisor at Information Technology Services for Real Estate (ITSRE)

ITSRE is specialized into providing IT services in the Real Estate vertical, mainly ITSRE build vortals, Vertical Portals, which are specialized in Real Estates.

My job was to manage the vortal development team also playing the role of a technical advisor, architect and DB designer and developer, utilizing different technologies such as web2.0 (PHP, AJAX and Javascript), DB (MySQL) and web servers (Apache web server).

Mecca.com offers a point of solidarity for online Muslims worldwide. their goal, as a web portal, is to promote and reinforce an inspiring, positive image of the strong values that Muslims bring to their respective communities everywhere.

In Mecca.com I played different roles, from technical team leader, to senior developer, to senior Linux and system administrator. I was also responsible for putting the development and work processes, ensuring that processes and methodologies, such as task planning, bug tracking, code versioning, code reviewing and release management are all established and consistent processes, that goes along with the company's plans and users satisfactions.

I was also responsible for Hardware and Software architecture, planning for expanding, and played the role of coordinator between different departments such as BA, development, QA, Graphics and Content.

Mecca.com uses LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) solution, and I was responsible for configuring and installing these packages and others, such as bind, zimbra, postfix, nagios, phpmyvisites and EmailLabs.

One of things that I also handled, was optimizing and revising the whole site, I have successfully increased the performance of mecca.com to at least 8 times, by applying different web site optimization techniques, along with implementing APC (Alternative PHP Cache) plus revising the database and cleaning it.

Arabic Textware builds and develops utilities and components that facilitate the processing of Arabic Language.

The main product is Addaall, which is a specialized Enterprise Search Engine that is built specifically for Arabic users with support for different Arabic language features such as search by roots and stem.

As a Project Manager of the product I succeeded into releasing 2 different versions of it, Win32-based version for small-med enterprises, Linux-based version for big enterprises.

By utilizing my years of development experience and as a Technical Team Leader I was able to increase the quality of code, the quality of testing, introduced new processes, revised code and managed different team resources to deliver high-quality products with best performance that impressed the company's clients.

freesoft is a premier software-solutions provider in the Arab world, providing consultation, customization, development, deployment, support, and training . They are specialized in Open/Free Source Software and GNU/Linux based systems.

The company delivers a pre-configured services, such as freeEXCHANGE, freeSERVER, freeDESKTOP, and freeGATEWAY, those services were mainly a mail solution, a file/authentication and print solution, desktop solution, and a firewall and proxy solution on top of a GNU/Linux distribution.

In freesoft, I was one of the main engineers and I led the efforts of working on most of the company's pre-configured services and client's services. I led the efforts of developing, maintaining, fixing, configuring, updating, installing and deploying freeEXCHANGE, freeSERVER and part of freeGATEWAY.

I was also the leader for one of the biggest company's projects for a local Telco, where we delivered a complete solution for Email2SMS, SMS2Email and MMS2Email where we have utilized different technologies such as XML, SMPP, PHP, WAP, Apache web server and all of that was built on top of a GNU/Linux system.

I was also responsible for delivering specialized GNU/Linux training courses for different company's clients.

I joined Estarta Solutions (was OneWorld Software Solutions - OWSS) as a Linux Administrator/Developer. My mentor has gave me a lot of things to read and learn, he taught me different things about Linux and development.

I have been utilized in different projects either for the company's internal use (e.g. Linux packager), R&D, or for clients. I have worked on different projects and utilized different technologies such as Perl, Glade, PHP, Unix Shell scripting and ANSI C.

I got excellent performance reviews (Significantly Exceed Expectations and Exceed Expectations) from the company for my excellent and hard work, fast learning, ability to work under stress and pressure and to deliver the work successfully.

Some of the projects I worked on was a Linux Kernel Customization for embedded Appliance, C developer to convert DB2 data to/from different databases and C developer for a local Telco to provide an application that connects different Telco applications and provides integration between them along with other different projects plus being the Linux Administrator of the company.
