Major responsibilities include:
• To check out the coverage and signal quality of the deployed CDMA2000 Network (1X/Rev-A/Rev-B voice and data based services), by conducting the Drive Tests, using Nemo Outdoor 6
• Post processing of the log files using Nemo Analyze 6, identifying problems in the network to enhance the coverage & capacity, and generating the KPI Reports
• Optimization of the CDMA2000 Network (1X/RevA/RevB based services) using Nemo Analyze 6
• Reviewing the monthly based BTS outage reports and providing different suggestions to avoid un-necessary interruptions and outages, and to improve the network quality
• Coordinating with stakeholders residing at the development, operation and vendor end for the resolution of discrepancies & short comings affecting the performance of the network
Additional responsibilities include:
• Quality testing by conducting planned technical audit/Inspection for the following systems:
1. Wireless Local Loop (WLL) and Allied Equipment- CDMA based BTS/BSC/MSC sites and RF equipment provided by Huawei and ZTE, WiMAX BTS provided by Redline Communications
2. Transmission System and Allied Equipment- Optical Fiber System (SDH/DWDM/ADM), Digital Radio System (DRS), Fast Ethernet, E1 Convertors etc
3. Switching System and Allied Equipment- Switching (Switches from ZTE, Ericsson, Alcatel, Huawei), NGN Switches (Access and Gateway switches)
4. Access Network and Allied Equipment- Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON), Optical Network Units (ONU), Add Drop Mux Systems
5. IP Data Services and Allied Equipment- Multi Media and Broadband (Broadband Remote Access Server BRAS, Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer DSLAM), IPTV etc
6. Power Plant and Allied Equipment- Rectifier, Generators, UPS, Batteries
Major responsibilities included:
• Maintenance of over 500 GSM IBS/ODM sites and management of a team of over 50 people
• Conducting Walk/Drive Tests & performing RF Optimization of the on-aired sites
• Maintenance of Ericsson & Motorola Radio Equipment, Microwave System, Power System etc
• Weekly meetings with IBS manager at Client’s end for radio support
• Conducting the corporate Trainings and Workshops for staff development and foreign clients
• Assisting other Project Managers for Site Acquisition, Installation, Procurement & RF purposes
• Negotiations with the clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders involved in the business
Achievement: During my two years service, my team/department never missed any KPI under my supervision/ leadership.
Major responsibilities included:
• Working on NSN FlexiBTS
• Testing of the GSM/WCDMA sites using TEMS Investigation 8.1, Map Source, 2G/3G Mobile handsets
• Checking the coverage areas of 02 Network by performing drive testing in different areas
• Post processing of log files using TEMS Route Analysis & MapInfo
• Identifying problems in network by analyzing log files and generating the KPI Reports
• Performing the electrical tilts in the field to improve the network quality
