Exports:
Provide the freight/delivery charges to sales team as per the Quotation.
Closely monitor SAP reports for approved Sales Orders to start processing.
Forward the shipping documents to forwarders and arrange shipment collection from warehouse.
Follow up with forwarders for timely execution and delivery of shipments.
Once the shipment is delivered, ensure that the PODs are uploaded in system.
Maintain communication with warehouse staff to ensure proper working order
Interact with third party logistics service providers in overseas locations.
Assist customers with inquiries
Maintaining accuracy and integrity of all logistic information in SAP.
Performing distribution services based on local and international regulations
Providing logistic advice and resolving any shipment problems promptly.
Import:
Handle all inbound and cross trade shipments .
Update GIT report in SAP .
Freight Negotiation with multiple freight forwarders and provide freight comparison to management with
costing.
Arrange the shipment collection from various countries by coordinating with suppliers, forwarders etc.
Coordinate with local transporters and arrange the shipment collections within UAE.
Arrange the inspection of shipments.
Maintaining and Submission of Bills and Summary sheets.
Plan, forecast & schedule the shipments
Plan export shipments and arrange the container after freight negotiation with shipping lines and forwarders.
Fix the transporter for container movement and arrange the stuffing, palletizing etc.
Arrange to collect all necessary pre and post shipment documents .
Monitor the shipment itinerary in close coordination with shipping lines & agents.
Regular update & interface with the customers spread all across the globe.
Attend to customer queries and complaints relating to product, quality, shipping etc, . and take action after
consulting with the concerned departments such as Sales, Planning, Quality Control etc.
Create commercial invoice in SAP and input the shipment details in system.
To coordinate with overseas warehouses to plan and execute the orders /deliveries etc, .
Handling booking related issues and updating booking details in systems (booking acceptance, equipment release,
cancellation & document release as per booking.
* Arrange to release Bill of lading to shippers on time.
* Maintaining ‘data quality’ as per Maersk Line Standard & ensuring “Zero Discrepancy” in systems with rates /
payment terms & invoice of customers.
* Building & maintaining an excellent relationship with customers, attending customers on priority, receive ‘zero
complaints’ from booking until delivery of shipment at final destination.
* Maintain politeness & proper communication as a benchmark, and information transfer on a timely manner .
* Liaising with Operation Department / Feeder Operators for optimizing space per vessel / voyage etc, .
Liaising with Freight Forwarding Agents, Customers, Clearing Agents and Airlines for import shipments.
* Preparing documents for CAN, HAWB, etc. required for the import clearance.
* Filing / record keeping of relevant documents required for future references.
* Tracking shipment status & updating status in in-house system and up-keeping the client / consignee etc,
