Performing computational fluid dynamic simulations of a single drop impacting on a pre-existing liquid layer over a surface at isothermal condition and at constant heat flux in Ansys Fluent and OpenFOAM to compare the results with experimental data and then predict the characteristics of the liquid which is more efficient in cooling the heated surface.
The project is funded by NASA.
