ACADEMIC PROJECTS DNS Server, January 2003 to April 2003 Built a Local Domain Name Server on a Pentium 3 computer using the Windows NT Server 4 operating system through the schools network. The purpose of the project is to emulate a virtual private network tunnel that can be connected through the internet and can be access securely outside the school network. Total Transcription Solution DTR System, January – March A project designed and implemented using Visual Basic 6.0 programming language by myself under the guidance of a project leader. It is a computer based time recorder tool for the personnel of Total Transcription Solutions. The program is connected to an existing Personnel Database through an MS SQL back end and is responsible to generate Payroll Statements for their accounting department. Using VB’s Report tool, the software is also capable of generating time summaries for each personnel. Don Bosco Canlubang Registration Portal, January 2005 - April 2006 The Don Bosco Canlubang Registration Portal was done using PHP Hypertext Pre-Processor (PHP) as the scripting language and using MYSQL as its database. The system enabled its users (Students) to register for the school year without having the time to line up physically. Instead, Students can just login to any computer with internet connection, login with their account and see what subjects are available to enroll to. It automatically filters out the subjects available per student. After selecting subjects, the system automatically generates a pre-completed registration form for the student to print out. The registration form print out enumerates the subjects that the student is enrolling and also, calculate the fees per subject and other miscellaneous fees. The pre-registration form is presented to the Accounting Department for payment. This system estimated the registration process of Don Bosco Canlubang students to two days of enrollment, not like the manual processing which took about a week.
