Assists with the safe, expedient, and professional turn- round of all allocated
transport aircraft.
Operates all types of Air Cargo Handling Equipment (ACHE) and Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) within close proximity of aircraft.
Remains aware of all classes of UN Dangerous Air Cargo (DAC) that may form part of an aircraft load.
Assigned the tasks of loading and unloading of cargo and baggage in a timely and accurate manner.
Handle responsibilities of checking the cargoes for security check tags before loading in the aircraft.
Handling of loads in coordination with airlines, air transport security and airport officials.
Assigned the tasks of handling freight and ensure that the any items are not damaged in the loading and unloading process.
Perform responsibilities of maintaining cargo numbers to track any missed cargoes at the time of arrival.
Perform the tasks of calculate quantity of cargo as well as perform logical transactions as required.
Maintains a sound understanding of marshalling signals and act only on the instructions of a Ramp Supervisor.
Manually handles both passenger baggage and cargo when building or breaking
down aircraft pallets and when ACHE and MHE are not suitable for the task.
Carries out daily preventative maintenance of all AFE ACHE and MHE, in accordance with the vehicle DI’s sheet.
Maintains a safe, cleans and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) free working environment.
Assists in the CATO Cargo Operation, when required, and performs any other duties as directed by AFE CATO Ramp Supervisor.
Operates RTCH at RPAT yard for the movements of 20 and 40 foot containers around the RPAT yard.
Operate Kalmar's RTCH RT-240 (45k) to upload and download containers on incoming and outgoing convoys for site.
Assisted Military with their needs concerning to replace and relocating containers.
Loading, unloading and stacking containers by using Kalmar’s RTCH RT-240
Use 4K, 6K, 10K, and 30K forklifts to load tri-walls into containers and material and equipment onto flatbed tractor trailers.
Downloading and uploading materials from truck by using forklifts.
Downloading materials from the containers by using forklifts.
