I am not simply a Speech Pathologist. I am winding down preparations for my own Comprehensive examinations in the PhD program in Educational Research and Evaluation at Cebu Normal University, Cebu Philippines. But my SLP training was completed in the US.
--particularly high skill level working with Autism, and establishing communication in a wide range of age groups, from 2 years of age to young adulthood.
--familiar with a variety of assessment protocols, and limited instrumentation in various SLP areas: voice, language, cognition, motor skills. Speech production.
--limited experience in swallowing treatment, interpreting voice and videofloroscopy studies, and follow-up dietary accommodation, exercises in coordination with other team members
--previously as a home care based therapist I have worked with family and caregivers to impliment programs of treatment, long and short term.
--have been active in program planning and development as Program Head at a leading Philipino University teaching and medical program in Speech Path.
--At nearly every leading university program, faculty are being asked to mentor their budding talented therapists and specialists. My additional degree program is all about teaching students or existing professionals how to complete research projects and proposals. Being able to look at your research problem, and choose what type of design to use, and explain why for example, to choose your qualitative, quantitative, mixed design, or even behavioral, single-subject, or small group design, experimental or non-experimental design. Explain how ethical standards fit in. Help you to develop surveys, and create readable valid questions, and implement appropriate random sampling procedures.
--personal interest in computer programming languages, Python, Blender for producing simulations, and normal MS office functions.
--Have maintained certification as a Speech Pathologist in the USA since 1987.

This degree is not completed. I will be attending until 2020. I began in 2014. This is one of the highest rated for education/research in the Philippines. Dissertation, Theory of noise in the classroom.
