IFRS 17 Programme, Wealth and Personal Banking, Group Insurance April 2020 - Nov 2023 Regulatory programme (ca. £45m budget and 180 resources in 2022) with multiple work streams focusing on new accounting standard for insurance contracts involving changes across HSBC's Insurance global operations. Fixed term contract finished on 30-Nov 2023.
• Role responsibilities included scoping, planning and directing the development and testing within the CSM Platform (a 3rd party cloud-based solution) to deliver new functional capability to teams in the UK, Malta, France, Mexico, Singapore, China and Hong Kong.
• Facilitating teamwork in an agile delivery team (scrum, sprints, backlog, UAT, etc.) and managing multiple dependencies while delivering according to the corporate change governance and project milestones. Delivered 16 releases of new functionality, enhancements, improvements and defect fixes over 2.5 years.Number of direct team members (matrix environment): ca. 15. Collaborating with actuarial and finance teams, the software vendor (FIS Global) and HSBC IT to meet programme implementation milestones.
• In H2 2023 the role involves supporting the transition of the global IFRS17 programme into BAU environment. In addition to planning and leading agile releases, I implemented a new change governance framework (change lifecycle controls) for all system components involved
with Global Integrated Reporting and helped remediate insurance model risk issues with the first line of defence and Independent Model Review (IMR) teams.

Project Manager (July 2013 - August 2014) Promotion from previous, Technical Delivery Manager's role. Acted as end-to-end project manager from Barclays' global head ofice, reporting into technology partners and programme managers. Led business and technology change for UK Retail and Business Banking (UKRBB) with most initiatives lasting between 3-9 months. Sample of solutions delivered and worked on:
• Credit Manager (a product that allows a customer to manage their credit profile) Data Feeds - this solution supplied Barclays with automated data feed (customer product holdings) by building an interface from 3rd party supplier, required integration with 4 systems (budget of £500K). Was responsible for delivering project from planning to closure and handover. Arranged workshops to agree functional and non-functional requirements, supported technical designer with high level design production.
• Automated Dormancy (back-end system integration) - this project automated the selection and closure of dormant business and personal current and savings accounts. I led the end-to end technology delivery from design to implementation. Budget: £500, 000.
• Multiple Account Balances (front-end solution) - this initiative delivered consistent balance names (e.g. 'current balance, 'available balance') across all frontline channels and devices visible to colleagues and customers of Barclays. Responsible for delivery of changes to 10+ channels (ATM-s, Online Banking, Pingit, Mobile Banking, text alerts etc.). Worked with stakeholders from legal, compliance, customer experience improvement areas to agree training and communications plan for branch, telephony and back ofice teams.
