Job Description
Carry out safely maintenance activities on a wide range of plant Instrumentation equipment by identifying the cause of faults and rectifying by repair on site or by replacement and/or
workshop repair.
Job Description
-To monitor, troubleshoot, repair and install instrumentation and communications facilities in safe and efficient manner according to prescribed schedules and procedures.
-Perform preventive, corrective and diagnostics maintenance on the process
control systems and control loops.
-Dismantle, overhaul/repair and install electric, electronic, pneumatic control system
such as control valves and actuators, measuring recording instruments in the
field or in the workshop.
-Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on all equipment on site, as well
as during machine scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns.
-Perform modification of control circuits and/or control loops as per the plant change
request and update all related plant drawings to reflect the actual changes.
-Undertake periodic calibration of instruments, repair and test various types of
process control instruments, process analyzer such as conductivity and pH.
-Perform upgade and retrofitting of new control instruments to the existing panels
In the field and main control room.
-Experience in advance control system such as Programmable Logic Controller(PLC)
and Distributive Control System (DCS).
-Assist other sections such as electrical, mechanical and workshop in the repair and
troubleshooting of their instrument and electronic related systems and test equipment.
-Make necessary field adjustments or minor repairs on instrumentation communications units to correct faulty indications or signals.
-Records/log all activities performed and the status of monitored equipment with emphasis on noted problem areas.
-Return all excess and unused materials and supplies after each job; maintain the cleanliness of his work area and of tools and devices used during the work; return all tools and devices to their proper storage after use.
-Follow closely the documented procedures and work instructions in the performance of his work activities.
-Abide by all Company policies, rules and regulations, as well as those on safety, particlarly the wearing of safety devices and apparel required under the specific work conditions.
