Insurance Company'' (SAICO) has been successfully transacting insurance under different names since 1952 (including
motor as a core business) . SAICO locates in KSA, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, and Lebanon.)

RESPONSIBILITIES

1- To establish the Company presence throughout the Western Province (e.g. Regional Office, branches, and sales-points) from Tabuk at North to Jazan at South;

2- To represent the Company in front of SAMA Insurance Dispute Committee in addition to all other commercial establishments and governmental departments (being their Attorney in the Province);

3- To carry out an instrumental role in nurturing existing client relationships and winning new projects;

4- To provide leadership and direction to assigned projects teams and to attend Key Clients meetings as required;

5- To line-manage employees as assigned, including management of employee productivity and performance;

6- To achieve desired market penetration by developing all Sales Channels that suit the Province (i.e. Brokers, Agents, and Sales-Reps);

7- To supervise and mentor all operations of the Region (including U/W, Claim, and Accounting) through utilizing staff of the Region & HO - as appropriate;

8- To manage the Region’s HR aspects (e.g. recruitment, and T&D); and

9- To act on all complains, from all stakeholders, according to the Company’s Values.

ACHIEVEMENTS

1- At the beginning of Year 2014, my Department successfully secured a Key Account of the National Commercial Bank (Alahli/NCB) for their Auto Lease Program (one of the largest motor fleets in KSA);

2- Established the Regional Office physically and recruited 20 full-time staff (e.g. U/W, Claim, Customer Service, and Sales-Rep.); and

3- Shifting SAICO existing operations from their sister brokerage company to their newly established Region in Jeddah (including, but not limited to Policy Administration and Motor Claim Settlement, etc.)

Regional Manager, Western Province at SANAD Cooperative Insurance & Reinsurance

SANAD Cooperative Insurance & Reinsurance was a start-up 200 million insurance venture; which was established in 2006.

RESPONSIBILITIES

ACHIEVEMENTS
o Established the Regional Office physically and recruited 25 full-time staff (e.g. U/W, Claim,
Customer Service, and Sales-Rep.); and
o In the Region's first full operational year, my team reached 52 million of sales.

Manager - Training Centre at Cooperative Insurance Company (Tawuniya)

Cooperative Insurance Company (Tawuniya) is the leading insurance company in the Saudi market and one of the biggest in the Middle East. Its Training Centre was the 1st. that facilitates insurance education in Saudi Arabia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1- To manage a strong training centre that improves the professionalism and competency among the Company staff in order to become the "Insurer of Choice" and "Employer of Choice";

2- To develop and implement an annual in-house training program for fresh graduates so that new employees can be nurtured and assimilated;

3- To develop and implement, in liaison with line mangers, the training plan; which is compatible with the Organizational Strategy in terms of growth, new products, certification, wordings, and the delivery of business-focused solutions;

4- To work closely with HR and Career Development Specialist in order to meet special developmental needs of staff (via observing PMS, CD, and TNA); and

5- To manage the Assessment Centre activities to enable the Company identifying potential staff.

ACHIEVEMENTS

1- Re-activated the scholarship program to UK; which was dormant for 16 years. During my term, the BOD approved sponsoring 2 Saudis to study insurance in British universities every year;

NOTE: One of the Program’s students is now GM of Non-Marine Technical Department in Tawuniya. Unfortunately, after I left the Company, the Program has stopped.

2- Automated the Training Centre’s routine transactions by developing an Oracle database workflow in liaison with IT (i.e. Najm Sohai); and

3- Conducted many PR educational events for Key Clients, other insurance companies, brokers, and universities.

Underwriter – General, Technical Department at Cooperative Insurance Company (Tawuniya)

RESPONSIBILITIES

1- To provide specialist technical support to sales-force; including preparing quotations, endorsements, and certificates;

2- To implement Section's underwriting strategies as directed by U/W Manager in line with the prevailing standards and authorities;

3- To assess, select, and manage the need for outwards facultative re-insurance - according to the company’s procedures (taking into account the possible accumulation). This includes correspondence, production of documents, and internal liaison with other departments;

4- To liaison with the Reinsurance Dept for reinsurance-related issues including renewal of treaties;

5- To assist, continuously, in the development of customized wording for new products as required;

6- To suggest and assist in developing new products including rates formulation, terms, and conditions;

7- To generate periodical statistics relating to LOBs; and

8- To suggest ideas for developing the U/W application (in liaison with IT).

ACHIEVEMENTS

1- Participated in the automation efforts of U/W workflow (e.g. facultative re-insurance workflow); and

2- Participated in the development of new products (e.g. shop-owners

4- To monitor local market - including collecting useful information and market intelligence for the Regional management;

5- To manage financial aspects of accounts and monitor outstanding amounts;

6- To liaise, as necessary, with the Regional Technical Support Unit (TSU) regarding WRO ongoing technical requirements;

7- To establish regular two-way communication with the Regional Management on performance, work-loads, training, and customer-related function; and

8- To assist, coordinate, and monitor work activities that are related to targeted production plan and services (in line with the Regional Marketing & Sales Strategy) - including reporting progress to the Regional Management on monthly basis.

ACHIEVEMENTS

1- Became the Team Leader; who supervises the largest account in WRO (i.e. the National Commercial Bank); and

2- Re-allocated and distributed all existing direct accounts in WRO among Sales-Reps. - According to their productivities and service level.
