• Perform initial evaluation visit and regularly assess and evaluate the patient’s condition and nursing needs at home.
• Provide a plan of care and perform treatments/interventions in accordance with the care plan.
• Effectively provides nursing care and procedures such as respiratory care, stoma care, tube feeding, venipuncture and medication administration.
• Coordinate and notify the physician any changes with the patient’s status.
• Extract blood specimen for laboratory purposes.
• Assist the patient during consultation with the physician.
• Administer Medications including IM/SQ/ID injections as prescribed.
• Assist in procedures such as Ultrasound, ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient.
• Give direct nursing care and apply the nursing process in the care of the surgical/pediatric patients (e.g. perform assessment, planning and providing nursing interventions applicable to the patient and evaluation of care).
• Aware of nursing action and have professional, ethical, moral and legal dimensions and take appropriate steps to safeguard the patient’s rights and privileges.
• Prepare and administer medications and make accurate report on patient’s condition and reaction to medication and treatment.
• Coordinate with the physician with regard to the health condition and treatment of the patient. Collaborate with the members of the health care team.
• Prepare the patient for surgery (performs skin preparation, administer pre-operative medication and evaluate if pre-operative checklist has been performed). Perform post-operative health teaching regarding mobilization, exercises, etc.
• Provide adequate and efficient post-operative care and monitor the patient regularly for post-operative complications.
• Provides safe environment for pediatric patients and monitor their health status regularly through continuous assessment.
• Perform procedures to the pediatric patients skillfully and maintains open communication with the parents.
• Apply the nursing process in the care of the patients in the different departments (e.g. performs assessment, planning and providing nursing interventions applicable to the patient and evaluation of care).
• Deliver and provide comprehensive and quality care by providing prompt response and action to meet the physical and psychological; and other needs of the patient.
• Prepare and administer medication and make accurate report on patient’s condition and reaction to medication and treatment.
• Coordinate with the physician with regard to the health condition and treatment of the patient. Collaborate with the members of the health care team.
• Perform IV cannulation and provides care immediately to emergency cases. Perform basic life support (CPR, ambu bag, assisting in endotracheal intubation) and other emergency measures.
• Provide information and support to patient and family members regarding condition, prognosis and treatment program.
