JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Patient Assessment taking, includes vital signs and medical history
• Carry out Doctor's order, administering medication orally and injectables per Doctor's order, rendering pre operative and post operative nursing care, doing wound dressing, performing suture care and suture removal, wound debridement, operating PUVA machine, instilling eye drops, monitoring CTG machine, assisting Doctor's in minor procedures, performing tracheostomy care, ileostomy care and feeding, chest tube draining care, giving NGT feeding, performing morning care, operating ventilator machine, oximeter machine, performing
CPR, do proper documentation and giving health teaching to the patients.
• Requesting consumables and medical supplies for the unit.
• Supervising staff members assigned in the nursing station unit, implementing orderliness and cleanliness in the unit, maintaining strict hand washing to prevent cross-infection and nosocomial infection, joining in service training and attending seminars to upgrade nursing profession.
