Position: Construction Projects Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule and costs objectives of the project are being achieved and advise on corrective action if necessary.
• Maintain contact and good relationship with senior management of Clients and sub-contractors for the relevant site.
• Studies contract documents to become thoroughly acquainted with exact requirements and specifications.
• Reviews check and coordinate subcontractors work and approve /sign their invoices.
• Coordinates with the Planning and Cost Control functions for the preparation and update of the Project Schedule, Manpower Schedule and Job Budget.
• Responsible for the timely preparation and approval of all submittals and drawings for the projects in coordination with other relevant departments.
• Responsible for optimizing the allocated manpower, material and equipment for assigned projects to meet budget and minimize deviations in resource requirements and forecasts.
American Air-Base in Qatar (Al-Udeid)
Three contracts 500 million US dollar each. A huge project consists of three main areas:
1- Living Area for 10000 people including: distinguished visitors billet (villas type), officers and headquarters accommodation buildings, dormitories, solider accommodations, sporting complex, fitness center, mall and recreation center, clinic, school and other facilities.
2- Working Area including airport, control tower, centcom forward headquarters, duty officers, power station, pump stations, aircraft maintenance hangers, workshop - mechanical, electrical and communication, fire station, air defense training school, mess, media center, and more.
3- Storage Area for equipments, munitions aircraft shelters.
Successfully directing and coordinating human, material resources and equipments throughout the life of a project by using right management techniques to achieve predetermined objectives of scope, cost, time, quality and participation satisfaction, responsibilities included:
• Controls project’s cost, time, scope and quality.
• Managing all phases of Construction projects and Maintenance Operations
• Approve, control and monitors safety plans.
• Handles all changes as instructed by the owner and coordinates with concerned parties for required implementation.
• Monitors project resources and highlights deficiencies.
• Reports to the Head of Department of any changes which may have time and cost implications on the project.
• Conducts on-going review of contract requirements as new instructions or documents are received from Client. Identifies appropriate staff to carry out detailed reviews.
• Monitors and directs the quality assurance and quality control for work to be carried out as per project’s contract quality requirement.
• Monitors master program and tracks critical paths and milestone for identifying them to contractor.
• Ensure acceptable performance of site team and report to the head of department
Three projects with a Canadian Consulting Engineers firm In United Arab Emirates Branch (600 million) for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
· Ensure that works has been carried out according to the plans and specifications.
· Coordination with other Contractors, Departments and Agencies.
· Ensure safety measurements at work place in all respects.
· Check and approve shop-drawings, work statements, as built drawing and final material submittals.
· Review and certify progress and final payments and quantities.
· Prepare all reports and change orders for any additional or new works.
· Attend all meetings and prepare written minutes.

One of the biggest Consulting Engineers Firm in Greater Toronto area, we supervising the construction of the Elevated Frontage Roads and Bridges, new Runway as well as the developments of the existing Runways, construction of the new Air Traffic Control Tower, underground RC tanks for dicing facilities and other civil works for the Greater Toronto International Airport.
Responsibilities included Supervision and Inspection for the following:
· Elevated Frontage Road and Bridges.
· Runway 15R -33L as well as the overlay of Runway 06R-24L.
· Runway 24R - 06L Stage II.
· Dual Taxiways Stage VII and VIII.
· Highway 36, 48 and upgrade highway 401.
· New De-Icing Facilities-Underground Tanks and Buildings.
· New Air Traffic Control Tower.
· Storm Water System for the new Runways and Taxiways.
· Expansion of the existing water network.

B.Sc. Civil Engineering. Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. This Degree is equivalent to a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from University of Toronto as certified by University of Toronto.
